There is a learning curve you have to go through in order to make vaping work for you.

Did you vape mouth to lung or directly into your lungs when you tried before.

You are going to have to try both in order to figure out what you like.. I vape MTL and needed 24mg nic in order to quit. If you go with a high airflow top you may only need 3 mg.

If you are smoking 1 pack a day then 12mg nic is probably way too much. Try some juice with 6mg. You will need some reasonably fresh e-juice and a good easy to use mtl ( mouth to lung) kit to get started. You want one with drop in coils. You might look at the offerings from Aspire since they were one of the original companies that stated this mtl vaping. I got an Aspire kit as my first attempt when I quit cigarettes and it worked for me. I still have it in my rotation more than a year later although I eventually turned the entire thing into a hobby and now have dozens of various setups. Never went back to cigarettes and never missed it.
Once you get to the hobby aspect of vaping, you tend to forget about cigs altogether :)
Between my hubby and I, we have well over 100 mods and twice as many drippers and a few tanks :)

Thank out guys and gals once again...

Smacuser I honestly don't know. Whatever top loading casister they gave me.

I just want to know if it's possible to use this battery with the new stuff available. I have a mvp2 and would love to utilize it. If not. Where do I go.

The MVP will fire up to 20w. It will work fine with a MTL setup.

The MVP2 actually goes up to 11w.

Probably the iClear with the swivel tip.

You will need a specific M-T-L tank. I personally use kayfuns that I build coils on.
Though, I am using a Nautilus Mini and it works pretty well.

BTW, were you inhaling directly into your lungs or Mouth-to-lung?

Start me over from scratch.. Money isn't a concern, Im just sick of wasting money on cigs.... I need to quit, Im just not doing anything good to stop it

Honestly though, as a back up for your MVP2 battery, this with a reg size Nautilus tank might be nice for the long haul.

Soooooo much stuff I need to read up on... Ecigs are like electronics ( computers , TV's etc) they seem to change every month.

Smacuser, you hit the nail on the head... I just need to use the battery if possible to get into the game again.

Then to start is the nautilus or nautilus mini. It will work with your mod. And works with up to 70% vg pretty well. Cost about $50-60 for the tank a pack of coils and a new bottle of juice. I was a PAD smoker and started with 18 on the nautilus. Trick with that tank is to prime the coils and let it sit for 10 minutes to completely saturate the wicks.

This will get you going while you can read up on what you want next. Rebuildables are great but fussy at first. Lots of great equipment to spend your money on once you get your feet wet.

    between here and there
Better to go 50/50 pg/vg with your ejuice if possible. I would start with a mild type of flavor until you know how your body is going to react. Do you want a tobacco flavor? Fruit? Dessert? Drink flavor? What appeals to you?

Additional notes on using the coils for the first time. After priming them with ejuice as suggested by a previous poster turn the watts down on the mod. Slowly work your way up in wattage until it taste good to you. All new coils need to be broken in to avoid that burning taste/ feeling.

If you don't get vapor right away, turn it up a few watts and take a few tokes. If you start to get a hot burning taste stop immed and turn it back down and start over.

    Let us know.
Good luck and glad you are back.

    :)

I just want to say we are all so different in reaction from the lungs.. I smoked cigarettes similar to Marlboro reds, 40-60 a day.. When I started vaping I jumped right on to lung hits, giant lunghits because I didn't think I'll get enough nicotine otherwise.. I was so wrong! I quickly found that way of vaping would fry me inside if I use more than 3 mg nicotine.. Today I relax and became a flavor chaser still not using more nicotine, because that stuff get to you no matter how you use it.. But when I want to play and blow some clouds and rings with friends I can quickly give myself a kick on 3 mg.. So one can get really bad advizes from people with lesser lung capacity that needed more nicotine themselves, and that hurts. I say start low and only shift to higher doses of nicotine if you start getting abstinence..

with todays "hi-powered" mods, the amount of vapor is too intense and dense to start with... when transitioning from smoking to vaping one should start on the light and easy side to let the throat and lungs become used to the new substance. Too many people want to go from smoking to vaping and expect the same/more density of visual reference from their vape as when smoking.
Most of the people who have made the transition started tootle puffing on Egos and Evods... and then went into more effective ( dense clouds) vapes once they became used to the vapor.
It took me about 6 months of dual using to eventually go ciggie free...
