How difficult was it for you to quit smoking after switching to vaping?

I agree fully. Do not pressure yourself or you will fail. Every cig you avoid is a good thing for you and you will probably hit a point one day where they just do not appeal to you at all. Every person is different and it takes all sorts of methods to get off the stinkies. Take it at your own pace and do what is right for you.

I failed the first time I tried vaping a few years back because I put pressure on myself. That pressure led me right back to the stinkies.

It took me 3 months to quit smoking completely. I didn't push myself. I had to get the hang of it.. find juice that I liked..figure out how this all worked and then have enough stuff to backup the stuff if it quit. I was actually able to stop while using a little 510 and dripping. I went up to an ego and so on. I don't feel that I "stopped" smoking as much as just switching from smoking to vaping. Switching was pretty easy.. it didn't take long to know that I preferred vaping to smoking. As to quitting vaping.. I don't want to. It's fun. I don't stink. I can do it at work (stealth vaping in a bathroom). As of right now.. I have no plans to quit vaping. But if I did, I would imagine it would be MUCH easier than trying to quit smoking.

Awesome. The thing with me is that I actually enjoy the act of smoking, and when I try to quit I have as much trouble giving up the act as I do dealing with the actual nicotine withdrawal. That's why I want to try vaping. I'm motivated to get away from cigarettes, I know they're affecting my health in a BIG way (I have a terrible smokers cough - especially when I first wake up), and I can't run more than a couple hundred metres before I'm out of breath. IMO, a 32 year old guy who is generally in OK shape shouldn't feel like that. I figure if I can switch over to vaping, and slowly lower the nicotine level in my e-juices, then I might have a fighting chance. Heck, I don't care if I end up vaping a 24mg e-juice for the rest of my life, I'd still be further ahead than I am now. That being said, I'm not going to expect it to be a 1:1 switch, or that it will happen over night. I'm going to work at it. But considering that I'm excited to try vaping, and motivated to quit cigarettes, I'm going to give it a a go...

When I ordered my 1st e-cig kit and e-liquids, I thought for sure I'd need the really strong nicotine ratios in my e-liquids, and I mostly ordered non-nicotine flavors, diluent and nicotine for DIY, but the only pre-mixed e-liquid I ordered was in 36mg/ml nicotine! I seriously thought that was what I was going to need to quit.

But I immediately found that I am happy with 12mg/ml, which is light. Anything over that and I get temporary headaches. I even ordered my all day vape in 9mg yesterday cause I vape more of it than my last all day vape. Its Delaware Vapors PeachBerry(great stuff).

You should try a lower nicotine just to see if it holds you. If not, raise it. I smoked for nearly 28 years, a pack a day of menthol 100's and yet 12mg is enough.

Good luck
