So it's my 3rd attempt towards quitting analogs (20 years 2.5 packs a day).

So I purchased 2 Veporesso Mods, 2 packs of CCell coils 0.9ohm Kanthal.

Cleaned it > Dropped juice on the ceramic > Dropped juice on the hexagon holes > let it sit for 24 hours > several pulls with the flow closed > started at 12-18 watts > ... DRY HITS!

I took the second mod and went into the process again while watching some videos on Youtube, still very little flavor and very dry burned taste.

Do they really need more than 24 hours to break in? I read threads and know some of these coils were bad, but It seems that the batches were coming in early January up to May, the site where I purchased these from has many good reviews and no complains from customers.

Also, If anyone can point out a site with a good batch of coils please do share the information.

Thank you,
Mohammed

I have been using these coils for a long time and can't say that I ever had a bad coil. Maybe I was just lucky. Not sure.

This is how I break mine in. I drip about 15-20 drops in the ceramic (almost oversaturating it). Place it in the tank. Fill tank. Take several pulls with no power. I do look to be sure that I see bubbles rising from the coil inside of the tank. This tells me that plenty of juice is getting through to the coil. Let it sit for maybe 30 minutes. Start vaping at about 12W moving up in 2W increments about every 1/2 tank that I vape. By the time that I finish the second tank I am easily able to settle in between 28 and 33W which is the sweet spot with these for me.

Ceramic is very porous so it does take about a tank maybe even 2 before getting fully saturated and full flavor. It is well worth it for me as the flavor is excellent and worth the wait.

I do hope that this information is helpful to you.

I second everything she said! Ive never gotten a bad coil just some that took longer to break in. These coils are worth the extra that it takes in my opinion. They last a really long time and cleaning them is pretty easy as well. If you find that these leak at all check to see if your coil is lose and if its not screw your base on super tight like your fingers hurt tight. The other thing is mine tend to leak if i vape them too low so keep a close eye on your juice level. BEst of luck!

Thanks GemInEye,

I guess I tried everything, to the point where yesterday :( I dipped the coil in the e juice bottle and left it there overnight hoping that the ceramic and cotton would soak the juice as much as possible, still my 3rd vape was bone dry.

I will keep trying, if resolved I will post an update for others.

again, thanks folks for your input on this matter.

Three ways.
Soaking in denture cleaner then boiling

Just boil or

Sonic cleaner.

They will not turn white again but wont have residue you can taste. Mine taste very clean. Just let them dry all the way. I blow dry mine then let them sit.

When I started vaping in 2009, those ecigs were really limited in quality of vape, and getting the wicking material to soak just the right amount of fluid in. There were times I had to use 2 at the same time to make up for quitting and a stressful situation and driving. While working on one device, you may want to have a ready built atomizer to make up for the hand made coils while you work on it.

I am using 0.9ohm Kanthal and 50/50 mix juice.
Any luck? The only thing i do with my. 9 that i dont do with my SS. 5 or. 6 ceramic are i close down my airflow a bit so that when i puff im drawing juice up into the coil. I think it's such a habit for me it took me some time thinking about it while i vaped on one. That is the only thing i can think of. I'm assuming you for passed the first half of tank is so on the new coils?
