Hey

So I'm nearly 4 weeks cigarette free (yay go me!!!). I have 2 e-cigs at the moment. A Diamondmist one which was only cheap (Diamond Mist Double E-Cigarette Kit: Amazon.co.uk: Health & Personal Care) and the innokin endura t18 (which my husband has now pinched!). I really like the Diamondmist one but the Innokin one, not quite so much as I find the vape is really warm if that makes sense. So when I inhale, the vapour is warm and I don't like that.

Now I'd be happy to stick with my Diamondmist BUT I want to reduce the nicotine levels of the juices I've been using. I'm currently using anything from 12mgs plus, generally closer to 18. I bought some new juices and one has zero mgs of nicotine. I've been using this in my Diamondmist (I don't think you are supposed to put nicotine-free juices in the Innokin one anyway) and really like it. But the only reason I'm looking to maybe get a new e-cig is because with the Innokin one, despite not liking the warmth of the vape, you do get a way bigger hit from it. With the Diamondmist, I find that I'm puffing on it pretty much most of the day if I have zero nicotine. So I'm hoping by getting something a bit better, I may get a better hit with zero nicotine. Does that make sense? So any recommendations?

Also, going off topic slightly, does vaping make anyone else really thirsty? My god, I feel like I'm gagging for a drink most of the day! But then from my many times of giving up cigarettes, I do remember this being a side effect.

Hello and welocme!
Congrats on your journey.
Yes, thirst is a side effect of vaping from the PG/VG in the juice. Unavoidable.
You will want to explore temperature control devices if you're finding your vapor too warm. With temperature control, you control the vapor temp. You should only use nickel, titanium or stainless steel coils with temperature control.
There are several, several devices out there that are very good. Just off the top of my head, I suggest:
Sigelei 75W TC
Sigelei 150 TC
KangerTech TopBox
Wismec Presa
Ehpro SPD
BUT....for you, I highly recommend the JoyeTech eVic VTC Mini
Good luck on your journey!
Vape On!

Thirsty? Yes... that was a problem for ages. These days... no problem. :)

You can vape zero nicotine in any e-cigarette device...

It is perfectly OK to reduce your Nicotine strength vaping at whatever power you enjoy.
Your Innokin is a little warm because it vapes at more power. You can choose either way. Zero nicotine liquid is notorious for lacking a punch, so adding power to create a better hit could be counter-productive if you don't like warmth.

You could try your Innokin tank on a basic variable watt mod and try it at an in-between power.

I would say a top notch 'latest' mod/battery might not be worth the investment at this stage.

I haven't had any cravings either! I'm literally so happy to enjoy vaping so much! It also means that when I get on the train to and from work, I no longer have to feel paranoid about the unlucky person sitting next to me smelling the combination of perfume, mints and ... breath!

Ok thanks for the recommendations. Maybe I'll try the nicotine free juice in the Innokin one first and see how I get on. For now, I'm using three quarters of 0mgs and topping up with a 12mg one.

Congrats for you achievement and Welcome to ECF! 4 weeks away from cigs is already a long time and it's just the beginning... You are asking really valid questions.

Yes! Vaping promotes dehydration. It's a known fact so it's recommended to drink plenty of water.

I'm not familiar with the ecig that you are using... There is a lot of devices to choose from at very reasonable prices that will improve your vaping experience. I'm sure you'll get excellent feedback from more knowledgeable folks than myself.

Concerning the warmness of the vapor, since you dislike hot vapor, you maybe interested in temperature controlled devices. I started with an istick TC40 from eleaf with Nickel coils and now I'm using eVic-VTC Mini with grade 1 Titanium coils that I'm building. You may want to educate yourself on these type of devices and how to use them before jumping in. No big deal, but I believe it's important to understand the basic principles. There is tone of resources available here on ECF.

There is no issue in using 0mg nicotine on any devices, including your Innokin. If you like it, just vape it! There is strategies to decrease your nicotine consumption. Usually, I think that nicotine concentration in the ejuices is decreased progressively over time. I noticed for myself that when I decrease the nicotine levels, I tend to vape larger volumes... Also, some tanks require less nicotine in the ejuices than others to obtain similar results.

Now, I believe that the hit comes from the nicotine... but with 0mg of nic in your juice, there is also other components at play. I seem to remember that PG drives a higher hit than VG. So you may want to try ejuices with higher PG than VG depending on what you are using now. Also, the type of tank that you are using may make a difference. You may want to look at the different tanks available to find one that fit you best.

There is a lot of possible choices, and I hope that you'll get more specific advice on these topics.

Good luck and vape safely!

That should give you a 3 mg nicotine juice.

Hi and welcome. Unfortunately, bigger vapor means warmer vapor because bigger vapor takes more power to make and the coils are hotter. A TC mod might work for you, but I think that's probably more than you want to get into. And yes, vaping makes everybody thirsty. Drink more water. A lot more. PG and VG are hydroscopic and they tend to dry out your mouth and throat.

Ecigs are a magnificent invention because there are so many approaches that work and some of the least expensive ones work the best. It's possible to control just about every aspect of the experience. The down side of that is you can get quite particular about preferences and do more and more to perfect your vape. To make sure it stays complicated your preferences will change over time. What seems too hot today might be too cool in 6 months. There is a learning curve. Pace yourself on purchases so your hardware doesn't get ahead of your experience.
