Welcome.

And I know exactly how you feel. I was a pack+ a day smoker of Camel Filters and Camel 99s for 30 years. Haven't touched a cigarette in more than 2 years now. Once I found a setup that worked for me quitting was easy. In fact, I hadn't initially planned on quitting, I was only using vaping as a substitute at times where I couldn't smoke. Just found that I liked vaping better and stopped smoking without ever really trying.

There is a downside though. Public restrooms have become a place of fear for me. The smell.....

In 2010 my Marlboro red habit was up to 300/month. To try and save a little money got a cigalike at the tobacco store. It wasn't great but I saw the possibilities.
Never had another smoke, it was hard, but i was desperate to quit.
These days think of Tony Randall, i quit.
Deepjazz, in the coming years you'll love the day you quit..

Congrats and welcome.
As far as finding a juice like Marlboro Black menthol you may be on a wild goose chase.
You might find something sorta kinda like it at best. Due to the very nature of vapor when
compared to smoke from a combustive material exact 1:1 comparisons are just not going
to happen.
Keep looking though. Try different flavors along the way. It's more likely you will find
a flavor that knocks your socks off and forget about the Marlboro's all together.

Mike

Hello, and welcome to ECF!

I think you're on the right track! In my opinion, Halo makes the best tobacco and the best menthol flavors on the market. While getting a truly combusted tobacco flavor in an e-liquid is next to impossible, you might find that combining 2 separate Halo flavors will give you exactly what you need. Torque56 is a really good tobacco, and SubZero is the best menthol (and my all day, everyday vape). I would start light with the SubZero (a little can go a long way), and add to taste as you go.

Good luck! Keep us posted on your vaping journey!

Maybe the typical mistake i did in the beginning, I bought mostly the same flavored juice.. week later everything tasted awful.. still I kept on vaping, took me 3 days to get rid of that vapers toungue.. now im rotating alot though flavors, even vaping things i was unable to eat though my life, like pineapple I was unable to eat those, they tasted so bad, today im vaping pinapple juice and it feels good.

for diffrent flavors im stacked today over 50 bottles of e liquid over 20 diffrent flavors.
just here in Iceland there are quite diffrent laws compared to other country's, here they label all nicotine in liquid form as a medicine, they fall under the same law so it's illegal to sell e liquid with nic in it here, but i can order like 100ml from other country's in europe and they let it though as long as it's not more than 100ml so far i managed to get all i wanted.

basicly here in iceland it's not made easy at all to switch from tobacco to vaping with those awful laws.
so for liquid with nic in it I have to stick to buying those from other country's inside the european union.. halo is popular so it's sold in uk and ireland,, also found a good store in uk with black note liquid but sadly the notebook sample box is sold out.. maybe i'll find another store here in europe with it in stock.

today vape is marlboro blend iliquia 18mg blended down to 12mg, just put 10ml of it in a bottle, 4ml of lime juice and 1 ml of menthol.. both of those are 0 nic.. I think it's important to have a little tobacco flavored liquid in the beginning. first 2-3 months..for me it has totally stopped all craving for tobacco, after dinner i tend to get this picture in my head of a cigarette then i pick up the vapor and after first puff it's gone

I was a heavy smoker like you were. Been smoke free 3 years. Thank god for vaping. Don't invest to much in the early days on e-liquids because as your taste buds come back to life your preferences will change. I was stuck with a small stockpile of tobacco flavored e-liquids that I no longer desired whatsoever. I suddenly preferred candies and fruity flavors much to my chagrin. Suddenly your ability to taste subtle notes returns. Mine took about 75 days to begin it's reemergence. Truly it is a blessing. Enjoy it by experimenting with different flavorings. But for today, enjoy the tobacco flavorings you have. I am just sharing a phenomenon that many of us went through. Many congratulations on your accomplishments. Cheers to a long life - tobacco free. -David

I was so excited to be free of cigarettes that I stocked up on that first liquid...I mean 20 bottles stocked up. One month later, I couldn't stand the stuff.

I was not a menthol smoker but I found the closest thing for me to cigarettes was unflavored liquid. Perhaps just add some methol to that.

I did the exact same thing! I was giving the stuff away to anyone who would take it! Lol!

Hi and Welcome!
This is when I wish all the people that said the vaping is BAD and EVIL could read all the posts I just read. Most of them don't know how hard it is to quit the Analogs. They don't understand how many lives have been made better. That is my:2c:

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on making the switch to vaping @Deepjazz :)

I needed a replacement for my "out and about" vape and my Endura T18 arrived yesterday - have to say I'm impressed as well.

Yeah, works well.. good to see they are putting some effort into making easy starter kids.. just put the liquid in and start vaping.

22 year smoker here, 50 or so smokes a day, after the first day I was like omg first day in 20 years I didn't have a smoke this thing is awesome! after about two weeks noticed my breathing getting better, about 2 months in I swear one of my lungs may have been partially collapsed because I took a lung hit and it almost felt like my lung opened up more and I started getting like 5% more lung capacity, fastforward over a year now still vaping, having made the switch was one of the best decisions I've ever made I've even started eating better, smoking was holding me back from so much I feel free now!

Congrats on quitting :)

im sure that 30ml bottle is going to last forever,, not too sure about midnight apple.. might finish that quickly :)

Congratulations on quitting the smokes and joining the ranks of those who've done it by vaping! It is truly a wonderful thing, isn't it?

hi everyone!.. im 45 and I live in Iceland.

26 days ago i threw away my cigarettes and went out and bought my self a vapor.

now 26 days later i have:

coolfire iv plus with apex 3ml tank
innokin clk 1280 with gladius x 3.2ml tank
innokin endura t18

in this case the cheapest one is the best in my opinion. t18 is really all I need to get though the day, small, fits in my pocket and it's the one i always grab when i go outside.

used to smoke 1-2 packs of marlboro red each day, im mostly using 12mg nic juice because i vape alot and dont want to overdoze on nicotine so i rather have less nic and vape as much as I feel like.. im doing 4-6ml a day.

trying diffrent liquid's, mostly buy uk made liquid, vampire vape and one pound eliquid, ordered few bottles of halo should be here next week.

been struggling to find a e liquid that tastes close to marlboro black menthol
if anyone know of a liquid that could be close to that mentol taste please let me know :)

funny part of this all is even tho it's not the cheapest vapors out there i have i still have spent less in those 26 days on those vapors and e liquid i have than i would have spent on cigarettes,, I really feel like i have endless money.

Like you, I love love love my T18. I quit with it 2 months ago, and even though I have a couple of others now, including a Provari, I still prefer the T18. I use it all the time.

Welcome to ECF!
