can't it be modded or fixed bert? i've got a fair few auto bats set-ups that i simply stole the connector from. if u want i could take a look
I'm thinking it can, I just don't know if i could fix it. The switch started to act up and not work. I tried to clean it, and it got better temporarily. Then I thought it was ok and I was cleaning inside the top and accidentally snapped the ground wire. I was able to twist them together and it seemed to work. Then I dropped it. I picked it up and the atty was on. I had to pull the battery because the atty was too hot. The weird part was that the light wasn't even on. So now when I put it together it will work for 2 puffs and then just go on by itself. I was actually thinking of starting a thread for some ideas. It's the V3 905.

Do your disasembled auto bats still have their LEDs?
I gave away all my 510 batts before I ever had one go bad, but I wanna look in there and see how much room Id have to work in there. I really wanna replace one of those LEDs with a quick change multicolored one :p

actually that doesn't look like it'd be too complicated (had to google it) - but it sounds more like it has a short and would need to b thoroughly cleaned and checked for points it could short out. you got a camera to try to take a clear picture of the insides? it's all i can think of to suggest to help u pinpoint w/o having it in my hands to look at.

Not enough room. The LED circuit is the size of the hole from a hole punch and only about 1/16" thick (surface mount, very tiny).

i dunno, some i've even modded the ash caps on had extra room but yes that little board is very tiny, but if she perhaps just wanted to replace that board in it's entirety w/ a different setup...

I'm waiting to see some fiber-optics brought into PVs! Would be cool I guess?

It would be ridiculously simple to add one of those goofy fiber optic sprays to the ash cap, but I don't know that I would WANT to vape on something that looks like this

These aren't the best pics, not sure if they'll do any good. To be the top with the led looks to be glued in. The first pic is the inside with the protective covering.

actually, i've got an idea now...lol who says they necessarily have to be long, or flowing out from it.

thats what I was thinking.. cut them flush, and even can put a clear glass bubble on top of them so they "look" like LED, but bunched up different colors inside the bubble. If that makes sense?
