Ok...
I am vaping since 2009, from cigalikes and changing as they evolved. Currently I use several regulated devices but never go over 18 watts. I don't do subohm, I am not a cloud chaser either. After trying all kind of tanks I still prefer drippers at home, DIY liquids 12 mg regular nic. When I go outside, I prefer small devices like the Icare or the Ego AIO, however I load these with 18mg nic (I do this to get the same level of throat hit I get with the other devices at 12mg). Then recently I've been curious about nicotine salts and asked which strenght of it I would need to get a throat hit similar to the 12-18 freebase one, then I was simply told "35mg", and it made sense since I see nic salts eliquids usually come from around 35mg to 50mg.
I am not planning to do subohm with nic salts since I don't do subohm with freebase either. I just want to be able to get a decent throat hit with nic salts. If I ever get it I will use it whatever between 10-18 watss, 1.2 to 1.5 coils. Evidently, 12mg salts won't give me a good throat hit, although I understand now that 12mg is 12mg, be it freebase or salts. So, I am still looking for an answer. Or maybe I just get some 50mg salts and mix them down with vg/pg until I find the right level. I appreciate everybodies' comments!
ah, i understand now

the whole point of nic salts is to AVOID throat hit

nude nic sell a "hit" mix though, which is just between the PH level of regular freebase and other salts

"quicker into bloodstream" is because of the PH of the mouth and gum mucosa, tobacco companies do similar, but it is barely noticeable. Bit of a snakeoil claim IMO

Yeah that's the way I vape to. I recently got some 35mg salt tobacco (turns out a damn bad juice ) just to compare.
It gives me about the same throat hit as my 12mg free base, but its different on the throat. Not better or worse..just different. Using it in different devices though.
Definitely, about 4 puffs from the salts equals about 10 from the freebase...
I got some 50 on order, so will see how that goes.
Hope that kinda helps.
Edit to add...i'm using the 35 in the Aspire spryte, and I think, if any, it hits a bit harder than the 12 in the RTA...
