510 Atomizers

Day four of vaping here. Day three with no analogs! I got the 510 starter kit for my wife and I, then split it up to see if we would like this. We do and I've been ordering more parts to have on hand. I ordered a pink atomizer for her and a blue one for mine to help differentiate our 510's. (We both had all black ones) I've ordered a pcc for her, a second batt for me and some new flavors of e-juice to try. Car chargers, empty carts, etc.. The atomizers came from a different company (than where I bought the kit) I found through this forum, and it seems that the pink one for her produces next to no vapor. I tried dripping, different carts and both batteries. I put the first black atomizer back on and voila! lots of vapor again. The question, I guess would be this, are there different mfgs for 510 parts? I would think that only Joyetech would make them, but there seems to be a difference here. Or is it possible we just have a bad one?

I'm not an atomizer expert as I use cartomizers. Someone will be along shortly with a better answer than mine, but it sounds like a bad one to me. Or maybe just a poor connection. You might contact the seller and get their input. Most vendors stand behind their product. I really stopped to say congratulations to you both. It's great that you are kickin' the analogs together. Love the pink and blue . . . oh, and always have spares . . .

We both have the black atty, I just got the color ones so the black ones could be a backup and we have different colors on each of our 510's. The pink one works, just not well at all. Very un-satisfying vapor, almost none. This is fun that we are doing this together. I am so glad I found this forum and didn't join the monthly bill ones I heard on the radio. Thanks!

Atty's are strange and sometimes temperamental pieces of hardware. You can have one that will last for a couple of months before going bad and your next one will only last a few days. I have some attys that I bought from MadVapes and some that I purchased through LiteCigUSA, but have not seen any difference. Actually, I just lost my first atty the other day after having it for a couple of months. I'm a bit obsessive about keeping them clean, so they get a soak in Iso Alc at least once a week. I also have a couple that have been de-wicked, and I find that they don't get gummed up as quickly and the juice tastes better.

It could be a bad atty, or you may have ordered one that is higher resistance meant for 5 or 6 volt mods. They'll work on a regular battery, but barely. By the way Sdunc21, where in Ohio are you from? I'm in the Akron area. There's not too many of us Ohioan's on the forum but they do have Ohio Vapers that you might want to become a member of. You never know when you'll need the assistance of a local fellow vaper.

I'm from Elyria, not too far from Akron. The Ohio Vapers, is that a part of this forum? Alot of the pages I've seen for ordering parts don't give a bung of details like that. I've been crusing these forums all evening and that led me to check out vaporite. I'm excited to try thier juices, and their hardware, while not very extensive, they label it very clearly

Actually I'm in Kent, going to KSU and working on a masters degree. You're only 50 miles away so I'm about as local as you'll find. The Ohio Vapers is a social group here on ECF. If you follow the link above you'll get to it. There's not much activity on that forum, but there's some good info related to vaping. If you're in Akron look up VaporBomb for juices. They're in Barberton on the south side. They mixed my juices while I waited. They've also got a vape lounge set up, although I haven't been there since they opened it. Where I've ordered most of my gear is Litecigusa.net, they're right next door in PA. If I order on Monday, I've got the stuff in hand on Wednesday. They've got good selection, decent prices and great customer service.

Thanks, I did check out the link and read the response from Sherrod Brown and a few other threads. The scariest thing to me right now is what our wonderful government is going to do. I finally found a way to live without Tobacco after smoking for 16 years. I started when I was 15 and have never been able to quit because I enjoy the act of smoking. With no lobbies for vapers, I can see the tobacco companies and the pharma companies that make the worthless overpriced gums and patches, leaning on the gov't to get rid of e-cigs. Too much money at stake.

Oh well, here's to hoping. I am already getting alot of friends on board with me, and I created a Facebook page to document what I'm learning as I go. It's easier to send people there rather than answer countless emails. This place is a little overwhelming for alot of people I know, but I like reading and am comfortable in forums. Thanks for the company info. I stumbled on the web page yesterday. I also stopped at all the local tobacco stores and head shops looking for juice or parts. Only a few carried some pre packaged, sealed cart models that looked pretty crappy
