510 dripping...Am I doing something wrong?

I got a pair of 510 atomizers and a sleeve/cover thing at a local vape shop for free, so I bought a cheep drip tip. I think they were spare parts from a kit or something. They are not marked and I don't have a MM, so I have no idea what their resistance is. I took them home, blew them out, rinsed them in really hot water and let them dry. After they dried, I followed some instructions on YouTube to remove the bridge from them.

I thought this would be a good way to try dripping for the first time. From what I have read you put 3-4 drops in stick the tip on and vape. I have this contraption sitting on a Spinner and not knowing the Ωs I started vaping at 3.3V and worked up. at 3.6v there is a ton of vapor. I don't hear the sizzle I do with a tank, but that may be normal (???).

The problem is the results. From what I have read it it seems like I should at least get 8-12 good vapes before having to drip again. This is what happens...

1st vape: Freaking Awesome
2ed vape: Pretty good
3ed vape: Has almost no flavor
4th vape: While there is still a lot of vapor, it is the worst thing I have ever tasted. I can't even describe it! I've had dry hits before with clearomizers, this tastes god-awful and a little burnt but not as burnt as a dry hit. Tastes more like a soggy burnt.

Am I doing something wrong?

Nope. Welcome to dripping and the reason that many choose tanks with RBA's. May be more variety in this category than anything else. We all want that first drip hit, every time, forever....at least I do. Try another drop or two, or until you flood, then back off. Vaping is largely subjective and you have to experiment to find out what works best for you. Lotsa choices out there by the way. Good Luck.

It was the ejuice. I never would have suspected that.

I was using some juice from a local shop to test with the first time. I got an order in the mail from Mt. Baker Vapor and wanted to sample them without filling a clearo, so I thought I give this 510 setup a try again. Exact same equipment and it worked great this time. About 6 good hits before it started to taste a little burnt. I guess maybe I should give this dripping thing another go.
