I just got my dual coil clears in today, so far I love them. It's only been a few hours, so we'll see how they hold up. I also (even though I said I wouldn't) picked up the new Vortex clear cartos from gotvapes, and I like them really well for the 808s. I'm in vape heaven today.
I don't want to sound contrary... the dual coils are not recommended for MOFSET driven batteries like the eGo. I've read lots of people saying they are running them successfully on their eGos so far, so maybe it's fine. I have two or three dead egos laying around that I blame on my LR attys, so other than an initial test to see if they would fire, I've avoided it.

Since they shorten the time between charges it probably does mean a shorter life for the batteries. I think another concern was the possibility of drastically shortening the life of the controlling circuitry in those batteries that have that feature. (Joye ego for example). So far I haven't read any reports of that actually happening.
Something to consider is how affordable a lot of the mods are these days. With a mod, you're buying six dollar batteries instead of sixteen dollar ones. I went with the e-power and I'm happy with it but there's a lot of good choices available now.

They are dual coils running at 3.0-3.2 ohms each, resulting in 1.5-1.6 ohms.
It's confusing to me, but that is how is was explained to me and why I could use them on my egos. They are definitely battery hogs though.

I just noticed this thread and thought I'd post too! I got the silver dual coil cartomizers, I LOVE them! I have one on my GGTB (with 2 high drain 16340's) and my GGTS with (2 tenergy's) both are rocking tons of vapor and I have had them on for 3 days so far ( I use 60-70%vg e-juice, 24 mg not sure if that all helps anyone though) also I use really sweet liquids that seem to gunk up cartos quickly, but 3 days so far so good! It's pretty amazing to me since I religiously change my regular cartomizers every two days! They are slightly more but definitely worth it even if I only get 3 days instead of 2. Since they are still going strong with just refilling them every morning. The vapor at 6volts is just a tad warmer then with it on the eGo batt I have but about twice the vapor! I'm in love!
I get so much vapor using one of these on my 5v it makes me cough. Not sure if that's a good thing lol. I've got a LR one, but I made the mistake of running out of my fave juice so I'm waiting to try it at 3.7 when the juice arrives. Shipped today. Waiting. Patiently. Well, not so much patiently. But still waiting. Whenever I see or hear the words "still waiting" I hear Pink Floyd in my head..."If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding!" Lawdy be I'm old.

It's been a day and a half on this same dual coil clear carto and it's still going strong. I think I killed the Vortex but who cares the clear dual is awesome. I'm going to have to put it up eventually though cause my throat is a wreck from a cold/virus a couple of weeks ago and won't heal thinking cause of vaping :-(
Okay, I need to shout my love for thses things from this threads rooftop~! I've been anti dual coil since I tried them a few weeks back, didn't like it and left it at that. I decided to try them again because I came to realize that as much as I love my cinnamon pear juice....it just doesn't taste right in any carto.
Filled a new dual coil with D's all day, put it on the ego....awesome~!! GLV.....even better~! Triple V....holy cow this thing is blowing me away~!!!!

well, I've been using my clear one at 3.7v for about a week... and it's getting a funky burnt plastic taste... so it's garbage... if it was a normal burnt taste i wouldn't be worried... but this thing is full of juice and yea...
well, before i throw it away I'm going to try and Frankenstein it back to life lol
Mod them with a BD 3ml syringe tube. The plastic taste will disappear. I had a couple crack on me and the BD brand works on these as well as the CE2's.
Hmmm I guess I will stick with the SS DCs lol I figured the plastic would have issues.
