Here it is (copied from another thread)

THESE CAN BE BROUGHT BACK TO NEW WITH A LITTLE ELBOW GREESE. I waited over two weeks before doing this to my first dualies simply because they were still working good...but not like new.

If you have a standard copper pipe cutter, you can refresh the dualies back to LIKE NEW (I have an ultrasonic but this works better).

Simple steps:

1) Use cutter right at base of atty (where the tube meets the base there is a seam...you may have to peel off the black wrap/cover to do this...comes off just like a sticker) to start a SLIGHT separation betwen the two parts (do not cut the tube).

2) Put carto on your least favorite PV (just in case you are to rough) and start wiggling until the carto silver tube separates from the base. It is a press fit between the two parts and will come free.

3) Carefully unwrap all filler (including the small pieces around the coils) and clean them in Iso or PGA then dry on paper towels. Don't worry about the two stiff tube pieces that sit above the coils.

4) Dry burn the coils a few times and when cool rinse with Iso or PGA to get the ash off(careful not to burn the small tube that sits above each coil).

5) Once everything is dry, re-wrap the coils with the small filler pieces (wrap in the same direction they were originally) and then re-wrap the whole assembly with the big filler piece. A bit of the juice you are going to vape with to wet the filler may help the wrap process.

6) Get the tube you have set off to the side and gently start twisting it onto the filler (twist in the same direction as the filler). Continue twisting until you have the two pieces snugged back together. Once snugged, give the tube a few taps with something fairly solid (your least favorite PV?) until the two parts are comepletely set to original.

7) Refill carto and vape away...JUST LIKE NEW...worked for me anyway.

Using this method, I am unsure of the life expectancy of these new dualies...I do know though that this will stretch your +/-$2 per carto a LONG way. Good luck.

well, I will be honest, on this farm I have NO copper pipe cutter- I use PVC only I am not into the whole sweating and solderin thing.. But I do have kleins, PVC cutters, wire cutters and various other implements that might work. I will have to try it. But the clear ones are easy peasy to clean, and I really like seeing my juice. :)

well the co-op is done taking orders...

and even with high drain batteries my sabertouch 5v regulated will not run these =[

I do believe the protection circuit in the batteries registers danger with the low ohms on these things and kicks in. I still haven't figured out how they're not blowing up eGo and Riva mosfest left and right.

so I shouldnt be using them on my riva? or ego? *sob*

You know, I really don't know for sure...so many ARE useing them with those PV's and I'm not seeing posts about blown gear so...??? But I know a ton of folks are having issues with them at higher voltages with their protected batts. Issues being, they just won't allow the duals to fire. Have seen posts about using them with unprotected stacked batts at 6v and them rocking the vapers socks off...it's all a bit odd. I'm vaping on a Pearl mod from Vaprlife with one right now at 3.7v (got a 14500 protected batt in it) and it's lovely...not sure they require all those extra volts for the rocking off of said socks. :p

I am using them with my protected batteries on my Buzz with no problems at all. I have at least 4 friends that are also using with Buzz at anywhere from 3.7 to 6V with no problems at all :) I like them best around 4.2-4.5V but have tried them much higher just to see if I could burn one.

Let me say first: I am NOT new at cartos. They're all I have used for 1 and a half years. I did not let it go dry, I keep a driptip on it and keep it moist. Couple times I even had it dripping out the bottom. I half condom fill then drip the top until full. When it was working it was great, I am really hoping this is just some bad luck on my part. But anyways...to me this is burnt...if it isn't then let me know. Seems to be tasting pretty crap right now too. BTW, clear juices were in it, not dark colored at all:

Could it be that the juice is burnt and not the filler? I had some caramel apple in one a few weeks back that tasted burnt when I started using it. I filled it up some more, let it sit over night and it was good. That is the only time that I had that taste and I think that I did not let it sit and soak in long enough before I started uisng it.

I'm not sure what's going on there. I've broken down two of the clear ones, unwrapped the filler, and inspected the coil wraps closely. No burning at all, although the juice cooked dark on the exact coil spots, which I scrapped right off with my fingernail. Not a burn mark though at all anywhere. The leaking issue out the bottom can happen if these aren't even full and here's why: there is NO center "tube", the wires attaching the two coils seperate the filler and are what make the airway. No type of tube is around this center wiring or coils (the coils themselves have little wicking wraps around them, and that's it). If you are not going down the filling between it and the carto housing vs dripping liquid on the top/center, it's very likely to just run right through and not soak in and "fill" it. I use sharp needle to fill and go between the filler and carto housing...the clear ones make this much easier to do as I can see what the heck I'm doing in there.

I have the sharp ones. As I said I fill using the condom method for the bottom half and then drip through the top, sideways, I went and grabbed some syringes just before it burnt out like that and filled with it the last time I filled. As I said, I'm not new to these at all, in fact it's almost second nature to fill them for me. The juice that is in this carto is a juice I'm obsessed with and use all the time in my clear CE2s. In the CE2s I can see if the juice burns, this juice mix doesn't ever burn. I'm really at a loss. Think I might be pulling it apart if I can figure out how to.

Oh the leaking, it was leaking because I way overfilled and I know I did. I let it sit long enough to soak if it had to, but I had more than enough juice in it :p

Hmm rereading your post BM (LOL) ahem, anyways, I'm going to go crack open a brand new one, grab that syringe I just bought and start from scratch and see if it does it again....
