510 in the AVS

Today I decided to play with 510's again. In the past I have had to file the top of a 901 -510 adapter to make it work. Some adapters have needed no work.

Today I put it together and found something different. All screwed up correctly and had to undo the screw at the very bottom of the AVS by about 2mm. Took it to the shed and filed it to fit and now vaping like a beauty with a 510.

I'm unsure if I am experiencing a different adapter but short story is getting a 510 to work is not an issue. But if you do file the screw be careful, too short and it's broke and there is no going back to 901/cartos...

I'll also give measurements of the adapter I'm using, I'm sure there are two different types.

Pretty impressed by this 510... could be because I went from 6.4V to 7.4V though

An added bonus was no flooding from the start in the CT.

I've drilled a 901 -> 510 adapter, just above where the 510 threads start, and have been successfully using it with a 510 cartomiser for the past week... a week on the move as well, so not much time to do maintenance, but it's working quite nicely at 6v.

Good to see you guys are finally enjoying 510's in your AVS units, I've been running mine for about 6 months now and they are very good, posted the tricks on the adapters drilling and filing a long time ago as well as making the new bottom connector, it would really be great if Imeo would just make new 510 connectors for this set to work best so people who don't have the skills to Mod stuff could run a 510 as well, maybe we can ask him again to mill some of these up for everyone to be able to run 510. Also HopeFuLLL if you modded a bunch of these I bet you would sell a ton of them ???? great after sale item for you to specialize in buddy maybe you give it some thought ???

This is what I have been using. I don't have to drill cartos anymore. These are lasting me very well too.

I just drilled a 1/32 hole in the adapter trying to miss the internal parts as much as possible. It works great.

I'd love to see Imeo bring out a 510 connector as well, or at least a low profile adapter so the juice in the AVS can be fully used.

I have been asking for Imeo to make these 510 connectors so everybody could enjoy them like some of us do, However with something special coming soon by him everyone may not need them!!,,,,,,,,ooohhhhhhhhhhhh Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ooohhhh aaahhhhhhhh hmmmmmmm ???????????????? This is so funny. We will buy anything Imeo makes. I haven't been disappointed yet so why not.
