510 Manual Passthrough

If you do not have a wall adapter for your passthrough yet. Can you use the adapter from your cell phone which uses a usb cord also or is the mah or what ever thats called not going to be correct for it.

My cell phone adaptor didn't work for my PT either ... it wasn't 'strong' enough...
You need to get one of these.... A 5 volt (2000mA) usb power adaptor (WalMart carries these also for around $20.00 in the photo section)

Thank you for helping. The one they got did work with the pt though. They are just worried about damage to it. They want to know it it will damage it because on their cell charger it says input 100-240v-50/60Hz 0.2A Output 5.1V-0.7A.

I just looked I what I typed and realized that I typed output 5.1V and you said they needed a 5 volt so I am assuming that is the same thing right lol

Hmm - what kind of PT are you using? One with an in-line batt? I use my 510 PT with my cell phone USB adapter all the time without any probs but mine has an in-line batt which prevents the PT from overdrawing power.

Yes it has a an inline battery.

I doubt it will cause any damage if it has an inline batt - I've been using my cell phone adapter for almost 6 months now without any problem.

Ok thank you so much I will let my son know then. He got one and has been dying to use it but wanted to use my cell phone charger and I wasnt about to let him if it was going to damage it especially since I am not getting anything out of this lol...Thank you
