Is TW the only vendor that sells the 'charge five batteries at a time' unit?

Heaven gifts sells them at the same price for 5 (ship airmail if you don't need them by Wednesday) but gives discounts on 10 and 20.

But then the TW 30% anniversary sale is coming on the 5th.

So, I have used my batteries for almost a full day now and it seems like they last 3-4 hours with heavy vaping. When I say heavy vaping, I mean vaping almost non stop for the duration of the charge. Maybe stopping for a five minute break every 20 minutes or so.
This is much better than the old standard batteries for sure, but I was still hoping for a little longer. I guess I will be happy with that for now.
I was looking at getting a mod like the Chuck or one of the others, but they are all really big and I dont think I want to do that just yet.

It will get better in a few days... After they break in they last longer.

Sigh all you like, dosen't make the 510 anybetter than it is.

What relevance does running an atty for 10 mins solid have?? Most 501 atties would burn out after around 10secs!!! (Iget what you're saying, but don't you mean the battery activating for that period of time?)

Would you care to share the equation that you got those figures from?

Anyone... even the few people that that have had them and changed to something else, know that is not the case. It makes you look silly and more biased, if that's possible, when your comments don't reflect reality. But go ahead, make my day. ;-)

You're like a Yugo owner in a Mercedes dealership, cutting down an SL. lol

Not True!!! Tonight I was sitting on the couch with my manual 510 in my lap and my wife was laying on the couch with her legs over my lap. My lap was warm and at one point the pocket area of my lap got really warm. Then I realized that the battery was getting pushed in my pocket. I told my wife to move and took the 510 out of my pocket and the atty was hot. It must have been for about a minute, if not more. The atty still works and I'm still using it now.

How I wish I could find a "point completely missed" smilie

Anyone who doesn't know what you're point is, hasn't been reading your posts. For one, you seek out 510 threads. You're a stalker of sorts ;-) well... that actually gives you too much credence. It's more like how a mosquito keys on carbon dioxide.

I make no secret of the fact I didn't get on with my 510s

However I see so many threads stating categorically that 501s are the best thing since sliced bread. This is blatantly untrue given the amount of posts you see with people lamenting the loss of performance of an atty over a matter of weeks, or how little time they get off a battery charge. There are so many people that as soon as the question "Which model should I buy" automatically launch into "get a 501"mode. Is it not fair that somebody should also mention the model's failings?

I like to play Devil's advocate & I can do that on 510 threads as I owned some for several months before giving up. Had it have been a 801 or a 901, it would be those threads that I would comment on. (if you read back over my posts, you'll see I have also given helpful advice to 510 users as well as highlighting it's downsides).

As for the 10 seconds comment, yes it was probably an exaggeration, but it was there to illustrate a point, & if you'd bothered to read the rest of the post in question, rather than just the bit you latched onto & quoted you'd see that.

I await a response from the person I directed the post at.

I'm wondering if they mean that one charge would run a mega battery for 10 mins solid & how that equates to the ampage of the battery in relation to a drag lasting say 2 -5 seconds?

I'm sorry you missed the relevance. I will try to "dumb it down" a bit.

Comments like "I get 4 hours" are meaningless, useless, and are of little help since vaping habits are individual an unique.

The best one can do in order to get an "apple to apple" comparison is use the resistance of the battery in conjunction with the mAH capacity of the battery for a specific model to calculate the "on time" that is available for a full charge. After that, your true "vaping time" is a function of your specific duty cycle (vaping vs. non-vaping time ratio).

The math and theory for the time calculation is pedestrian.

Batteries have a "capacity" value stated in mAH (milli-Amp Hours). Divide that by 1000 to get AH (Amp Hours)... multiply that by 60 to get "AM" (Amp Minutes).

The amps (current) drawn by a PV is defined by Ohms law. Divide the battery voltage (3.7V in these cases) by the atomizer resistance to get the PV current requirement in Amps.

Divide the Amp-Minutes by the Amps to get the Minutes.

Easy.

Scottbee, was all that a putdown directed solely at Sludge Van Diesel (who has acting the bad boy in this thread)? [If so, please ignore the following.]

Or are you really that arrogant?

There are fields other than science and technology to which some of us have applied our intellectual gifts. Is one "dumb" or "pedestrian," if s/he doesn't pause to reflect on Ohm's Law all that often or didn't grasp the relationship among ohms, voltage, and mAh in an electronic cigarette?

You know, 'nerd' is not necessarily a derogatory epithet, but it certainly is not synonymous with "babe magnet.";)
