i am going to be getting some extra ecig stuff for my birthday and from my mom and hubby. i need to make a few decisions in what i want. i have the 510 and am extremely happy with it but i want a second model to play with. i will be getting flavoring and other juices but i am not to concerned with that because i know what flavors work for me. so i was thinking about just getting some cartos and maybe another couple batts for my 510 or does anyone think i should load up on the 808 supllies to try it out and if i decide to go with the 808 what cartomizers should i get? i always shop at litecig if that helps. thanks:2cool:

I can't say enough good things about the LR Boge 510 cartos on an eGo (highly suggest the passthrough version of the eGo from Litecig). However, I've yet to try the 808...but I have one coming for a friend and I'm going to give it test drive. :) I'll report back with what I think of it compared to the LR carto/eGo set up.

I'm an 808 fan, went standard, then XL, gave myself some G400 808 batteries for 90 days smoke free. They are indeed true 3.7, vs. 3.2 for the 510 family.

That said, I'm a believer in staying with what works. If I was a 510 user I'd likely be looking at Riva or eGo high mAh batteries and LR cartos, maximizing interchangeability while still giving a nice bump. End of the day the power is v-squared-over-R. If you have a 3.2V Riva and a 2 ohm LR you're doing 5.1W. If I have a 3.7V 808 and a 2.6 ohm carto that's 5.3W -- about the same oomph (and I know real LRs for 510 go to like 1.5 ohms, which means even higher power though shorter battery life between charges)

Cartos and atties would be interchangeable without buying the little connector adapters, though you would likely need a bigger power supply than the std 510 one to recharge the high mAh batteries.

(Horrors, the 808 lover doesn't say get an 808 :) )

808 XL battery street price is about $18, from NHaler or vapor4life, before coupon codes. You would need a full base kit, to get the right charger type.

Haven't used litecig cartos -- I've used v4l WOW and coolcarts, Eastern Mall, Greenworld G400 (big 2 ml beasts), and now have some 2.6 and 3.3 ohm cartos from vaporsetc. I've been pretty happy with all of them.

thanks guys, i use the mega 510 batts most of the time if i am going to switch it would be 808 xls i am not much into mods becuase i like the feel of the ecig in my hand, but is the 808 cheaper than the 510 mega? ...
If you are happy with the 510 mega battery life, the standard KR808 batteries are 280-300mah & are cheaper than the similar 510 mega. If you wanted longer bat. life then get the KR808 XL.

I started w/ eGo & got a KR8 bat.to try. The std. AC 510 charger with adapter works fine to charge my KR808 battery using 901 atty.
:smokie:
Note that the adapters are about $3-4+ & a charger may not be much more so if you only have 1 charger, I recommend another charger.

I actually just got in a KR808 XL batt (380 mAh) today along with some Boge LR 808 2 ohm cartos from Litecig (thanks Bianca!, but I got the 808 instead of 510). I just loaded up a carto and I'm actually really impressed! I've always been a 510 girl and I'm so used to 5V that vaping a regular 510 batt now feels like air. But this thing is really awesome, I'm enjoying it immensely. Especially because I've been using big honkin' mods for so long, it's kind of refreshing to go back to a little batt.

The premium carto's from LiteCig are pretty good. They're actually my fave so far, but I need to try out some more just to be sure. They seem to have more stuffing material in them and I like the soft caps for easy refilling. I believe they're 3 ohm.

I've tried their regular carto's too, and those are pretty decent as well, seem to take good to cleaning when the time comes and have been working good for about a month now.

Did you get an auto 808 batt? I'm kinda dying to try one! Making me jealous. LOL

I got a manual from litecig, but I just ordered a regular auto (lavender w/ pink led) from V4L. I've never tried an auto batt, either. I know some people think they suck, but I figured I'd try it out. Yeah, I haven't ordered from them in forever! I also got some wow peppermint 36mg cartos to try with it.

Well, I love my auto eGo, so I have hope that you'll enjoy the auto 808. It's a nice experience every once in a while to not push a button to vape. :)

So, I tried the 808 and several different cartos in differnt resistances, and I found the draw extremely hard on all but one carto. I believe it was a LR. I'm still an eGo and LR Boge girl. :) Brandee, that eGo "sit and go" type battery from Litecig is really awesome. Vape it as a PT, then cap the end and take it out with you. Very nice if you're going to stay with 510 gear.

i wonder why the draw was so hard any ideas? i just ordered some generic 510 batts and some boge cartos on sunday. its hard to change ecigs on a tight budget but i am still curious about the 808 but i don t like hard draws either and boge cartos are my fav.

I just tried out the 808 auto and love the harder draw. For me, it really mimics smoking analogs. Battery life is awful unless being used for occasional vaping.

As to the lr boges? How many ohms?

Thanks!

I'm using the LR Boges at 2ohm. Not crazy low, but low enough.
