I recently received a purchase of two adapters and an RN4072 and a Joye 302 atty. The adapters are 510 battery to 801 atty. But while the adapter seems to work ok with the RN4072, it isn't working at all with the 302. I know that though compatible, the 801, RN4072, Joye 302 are not identical. But I'd hoped to be able to use the 510 to 302 combination. Does anyone know of an adapter that will work with this combination?

Thank you , doots, for your suggestion. I followed up on that, but without any luck. I've tested the RN4072 at 3.6 ohms, and the 302 at 3.2 ohms. I tried them both on one 510, two Riva batts, and a BB (14500 battery mod). The RN4072 and adapter combination work. The 302 and adapter don't.

I have heard that the 302s don't work on everything 801. I dont know what you could do.. Sorry,,
The center post on the 302 sticks out more than an 801. I broke a 302 because of this with an adapter and have heard of problems with shorts too.
You should screw the adapter into the atty tightly first then just screw on the adapter onto the pv just enough so it makes contact.

I sanded down the center post on my 801 to 510 adapter and now I have the perfect 302 to 510 adapter.
