510 to Ego adapter

I bought one of these from clouds of vapor (COV) so I could use some regular resistance ego-t atties with my new variable volt mod. Once put on, I can't get atties to fire, they work fine connected straight to the ego battery, but using the adapter on the mod, they won't fire. Maybe just a bad adapter? Anyone else have this problem, or better yet, a solution?

Look to see if there is a screw slot in the top of the center pin. With many adapters the length of the center pin is adjustable.

Thanks, it does have a screw slot, I'll try to turn it and see if it works. The one from avid vapor looks the same but its way more expensive.

Turned the screw slot as far as I could, but still nothing, I think I got a bad one. No response from Clouds of Vapor customer service. Funny how they respond instantly to a question on an order, but once they delivered.....
