Maybe because its already full? My 510 came gurgling right outta the box. Blow it out and try again. Also with the stock cart filling, you can only hit it 3 times in succession before it starts to taste plastic, at which time you have to wait for a few minutes for the atty to cool down and the juice to wick back up to the top. That goes away with lipton pyramid tea bag mod, btw.

yes i have but not with this atty. this one wont suck up the liquid from the cart. i have to direct drip every 5-7 hits and the cart is still wet. could there be a reason the atty wont suck the liquid from the cart?

old atty's sometimes stop wicking but if you're filler is touching the bridge it should be fine. I personally use the straw mod with 1/3 the filler which helps the juice to run from the stuffing to the atty's. granted sometimes I have to stand it cart down because it's wicking to fast.

that's about all I know on this one...

good luck

Try blowing out your attys.... sit em in an alcohol bath for about 3-5 mins (I swish mine around in a litlle gladware bowl)... rinse em and blow em let em dry, drip on the atty and puff... I was having the exact same issue today now they are vaping like new after repackng the carts. Was even getting that snap crackle pop. Got juice in the mouth like you wouldn't believe before this.

Please let me know if this helps.... after cleaning the 4 attys I rotate this way the alcohol started turning a little brown. I was draining batt after batt thinking the batts were weak.

1/3 length wise from top to bottom or just 1/3 filler material, but same length?

my 510 stops giving a throat hit after a few drags and the cart is still wet. i have to direct drip like every 5 hits. is there any reason the atty wont suck up the liquid from the cart?

What I get from your post sounds like a normal response from a stock unmodified cartridge. There are so many possibilities that it's hard to tell you exactly what is going on. When I use a stock cartridge I get the same response, it is still making vapor but just not as good as when it was completely full? It's possible that you are expecting too much from the e-cig. The 510, like most, will wick a little slower than someone would like. The liquid will only wick down to the atty as fast as it can normally. On a stock cartridge if there is no other problem the liquid wicking rate will slow down as you pull more liquid from the cart. Normally the best vaping will happen when the cart is the fullest. If it vapes less you might need to take a bigger pause between puffs, giving the liquid more time to wick. The straw mod is used to lessen this slow wicking problem.

This can also be caused by a battery that is not putting out the full voltage.

It could be a underperforming atomizer.

The liquid can cause this.

It's possible your taste buds may be at fault. I know if I sit there and just vape puff after puff after puff, the hit is reduced because the taste buds have become used to the flavor. Just like the since of smell will become used to a certain smell and you will quit smelling the same thing after being subjected to it for too long.

Lots of options.
