I bought a 510 to try and jump on the forum bandwagon. My problem with the device is that i think people put too high an emphasis on the throat hit it gives. I feel like once i top off a cart and get it juicy, and take a pull, the atomizer just cooks the liquid right out of the cart in just a few hits. I feel like id have to refill the carts ever 10 seconds. Sure the first couple of hits are powerful, but thats because its just burning all the juice up right away.

Is there a model that gives a decent throat hit, doesn't have to be a killer one but doesn't cook all the juice in like 10 seconds? I rather have a decent throat hit that is more consistent. and not just a super throat hit the first few drags.

I'm with you. Sometimes it's got to do with the filler. The brass and the blue foam need to be refilled every time I turn around. Wool is good, but I get tired of the little stragglers. Right now my top two are face buff pad w/little bit of tea bag on top to slow things down a bit.
Kristin came up with number two and that is a new way to load the TB. I'm using it right now. It might actually become my favorite because it tends to keep the atty wettier (no burnt taste) since I'm trying to slow liquid consumption down.

I use primarily polyfill and have really noticed a difference beteen new and used. The filler only seems to do a proper job of wicking and not leaking for the first two fills or so and after that either blocks the flow or aloows too much. I also just got some syringes which allow for filling without compressing the filler at all.

I'm also using this filler mod, but no TB, just BP. When making the cart, I cut it off about 2 mm above the mouth, and then cut a second cross-cut so the bridge fits into the sponge, rather than pushing it down. Have to trim the edges a bit so that juice doesn't go into the cart whistle holes. Over a couple days it will need to be floofed up a bit, but that first vape with it can go on for 45 minutes or more without topping, and with heavy vaping. The straw is also very important in order to help cycle the juice in the cart.

After doing these things my 510 became 10x the performer that is with original filler. Like "Oh, so THIS is what a 510 is supposed to be like!!"

510 cart filler is an ongoing challenge. But find a good one, and the 510 is a killer PV. The filler is however its weak point.
