I personally use Mega batteries.. but it is as much about the (mildly) lower internal resistance as it is about the battery life.

As I have said in other threads... I don't know why people obsess about the battery life. Carry a PCC... swap out your battery when it goes dead. Takes 20 seconds tops. Do that 3 or 4 times a day. Big deal. We used to spend a lot more time than that looking for our lighter and sparking up analogs.... 30+ times a day!

P.S. I don't wait for my batteries to die. I find that to be inconvenient and it always happens at the wrong time. When I refill a cartridge, I replace the battery. Period. There is absolutely nothing wrong with "short cycling" a Li Ion battery.

Another U.S. option for 510 mega batteries is Electronicstix. Ships fast (I think the 10% off "ECF10" code still works).

But, the fact that they don't fit in the PCC is kind of a hassle if you have one. And the PCC itself makes the battery life less of an issue - just swap them out while one is charging.

I like the mega batteries, but then I switched to a mod much of the time.

Firstly, thank you to everyone for the replies. I decided to go with Optsmk's link for the $15 batteries (+4.95 s/h), this seemed to make sense. And a part of me agrees with other user's comments about using a PCC as a tool. Unfortunately, the current work environment that I'm in is not all that conducive to easy charging, hence my concern for "get-through-the-day-with-charged-batteries" issues. I hope that with my starter kit (2 standard batts + PCC) and my 2 mega-batts, it willl all work out! :)
