Well ladies and gentlemen the secrecy is over, the pdf is made, and advanced copies were sent out, went over and got the thumps....ermmm vapor clouds of approval.

Chellnelly, our sponsor Jenna and myself wish to offer you at long last 510 magazine made by vapers for vapers on the vapers. We are hoping with your help we can make this a monthly issue for Canada, USA, England...shoot a global thing....

make sure to grab your copy of 510 magazine right here straight from our sponsor's web site and please make sure you say thanks to her for this!
Enjoy!

EDIT: the current site listed above is now on our sponsors site, and we now about to go live with a more professional looking thing, the above link is still active but i would like to redirect you to the better site once it is unlocked and the average person does not need the password to look/download it

Ok gently, you need a designer. Haven't read anything yet, just took a quick peek. Otherwise good work everyone!

We are aware of that but nobody stepped up to do it and none of us have experience in design. We did the best we could with the skills we have. We had one person say they would do it if we paid them... We have no budget for this, this is a completely free mag made for the vapers by the vapers and we don't have a fund for it. We're just normal people, most of us with less than average incomes, who liked the idea of a project like this for new and veteran vapers alike.

With that said, if you know anything about design, please be our guest :)

Great first edition, overall! I am excited to see someone come up with, and create, an e-cig magazine!! I do have a few comments and observations, if I may add my 2 cents:
-There is a need for a proofreader or spelling/grammar checker/program.
-In the 510 K-9 Unit article, I had no idea it was BWB (Backwoods Brew) that you were reviewing until the middle of the article. Perhaps referencing the shop, and their web address, at the beginning would help.
-Because there are so many new vapers every day, a glossary of terms to go with the articles would be very helpful. (For instance explaining what PG and VG are, cartomizers, atomizers, the abbreviations used for flavor vendors [FW, TPA], etc.)
-The mod info was good, but I truly have no idea what Li-Mn batteries are or what protected and unprotected means in reference to batteries.

I hope this helps, and is gentle. I don't handle criticism well, so I try not to be harsh.
Great job!!!

I edited all the articles myself and consider myself very .... on the topic of spelling and grammar. There were a couple of things added in that I didn't get to proofread, perhaps that is what you were referring to.

I apologize for the K9 Unit article, the I believe the article's title was changed (which had the name of the company in it).

A glossary of terms is a great idea. Thanks :)

I just read the issue top to bottom and I liked it very much...thank you!
I am fairly new to this game and I found that I leared a lot re battery safty!! and I also liked the DIY section a lot and would love to see that as a staple kind of a cook book on file for flavor mixing of sorts!
I think that if it is not hard to add them in color pictures go a long way in creating an experiance that is kind of left missing when there not there ....I think a "legal corner" should also be a staple in future issues!
Would it not be advisable for you to put a counter of sorts on it so you can track downloads .....would be helpfull when aproching e-cig buissness for funding through addvertisment that you could sell?
all in all I think it is a hit and i look forward to issue #2

Thank you for the comments, and believe it or not and as laughable as it is, i just wrote them down on a large yellow post it note and stuck it the wall beside me, again this being the first go at it, any comments or suggestions are great, and just as the days of limited choices of what juice to get from China, so too 510 is going to evolve (but seeing as i am old give me some time too catch up to you young whipper snappers :p )

I think for the second issue there is in the works a second sponsor, but it is too soon to say anything, which reminds me, what are thoughts of a monthly release date? I do not want this to be something that is all willy nilly. As well do people want to be on a emailing list to know when a new issue is ready?

For the Second issue, let me say here and now, anyone interested in having something added please PM me or chellynelly and let us know, it is rather silly to chase after those that say they want to do something.....(i am guilty of doing that to poor Dark Side and Vapor geek), it does not matter if you are from on the globe, if you are reading this and want to offer something then send that pm.

For the suppliers that are lurking and cannot post, again send a pm. Not looking for freebies, but if you can draw cartoons, have funny stories, words of wisdom, it could be printed :D

Well going to have to ask Dark Side and a few other DYI masters to see if they can come up with that ;)

Can you be more specific please?

I think a "legal corner" should also be a staple in future issues!
good idea, i would have to see if i can find a "go to" in the ECA (is it called?) see what can be set up over later issues

Would it not be advisable for you to put a counter of sorts on it so you can track downloads
Not really. I thought about that, but seeing as Jenna has it on her site and she owns said site, if anyone wants to know the web stats i think i can ask for them and pass them on via pm. I am more interested (at this time) to see if it could be offered globally and see how this all grows[/QUOTE]

would be helpful when aproching e-cig buissness for funding through advertisement that you could sell?
The mission statement of 510 magazine is: This is a magazine made by vapers for the vapers, as such we want to make this availible to everyone and not exclude anyone. As such 510 magazine though in it's infancy shall be and remain free of charge for the community and the populace as a whole

all in all I think it is a hit and i look forward to issue #2 Jonathan

Dang it! the editor was busy chewing on his squeaky toy i am sure!

who ever did that needs to be taken out and beaten ;)

Nice job, everyone - lots of good info. I wanted to contribute but never got around to finding the time. I've also had to put aside other projects that I committed to. There just seems to be not enough hours in the day. As a man of my word, I will get the article(secret) in that I promised. It's in my head and will remain there until I submit it.

Once again, nice job & congrats on everyones contributions.
