5v boxmod question: Regulated?

Hello folks. Is the 3xAA 5 volt boxmod regulated at 5 volts throughout the charge of the batterys? Or does it just start out at 5v and then fall off as you vape? If it is regulated to remain at 5v, how does usage work? Do you just vape until the batts die and need recharging, or do you need to keep an eye on them with a multimeter to make sure they don't go all the way down?

I'm pretty sure it's regulated to 5 volts until the batteries die. There's no need to monitor it with a multimeter. I've never had to worry about it with mine. The VV Box mod works the same way.

It's regulated. 5V up until it dies on you, at least the way I vape. Good news, no drop off in performance. Bad news, no warning on low battery.

I use PROTECTED batteries, so I don't worry too much about over discharging them. If you're using IMRs then you may want to keep an eye on them; I don't have any experience with them.

You might want to consider spending the extra $2.00 for the VV Box Mod. The 5 Volt Mod is great but it's nice to be able to tweak the voltage up or down to the "sweet spot" of whatever atty/carto you may be using.
