I decided to try out vaping at 6v with my Silver Bullet today (just got it yesterday) I took out the LR Boge carto and put a SR Boge carto in and put in the two 3v batteries.

WOW. I took only a 2-3 second drag and was greeted with very warm and flavorful vapor, a HUGE throat hit, very flavorful taste and giant clouds of vapor. It was very intense. I almost started coughing, it hit me so hard.

I loved the massive clouds, the warm vapor, and the intense taste, but the throat his was almost too much (18mg Boba's Bounty).

Do you guys think I should try using a juice with less nic? I could really see myself getting into 6v vaping, but I need to ease the massive throat hit a bit. I'm finding I might actually prefer just an LR carto with the standard single battery. Who knows, maybe I just need to get used to it.

What do you folks think? Do you like vaping at really high voltages or do you prefer the 3.7-4 range? Any tips for chilling out the throat hit a bit?

I think 6v vaping is pointless. That is my opinion. The highest I ever put my V.V. mod is at 5.5v. I go for what has the best taste not just the most vapor. At 6v I get burnt taste, but I don't own any hv cartos. The whole reason for me to get higher voltage was to find the "sweet spot". Since your pv isn't a V.V. I recommend using LR carto's at 3.7v. I like the ressorectors from CCV. They are 1.7ohm and they last.

I haven't found that any of my flavors taste bad, just really strong . . . almost like I'm putting the juice directly on my tongue! Actually some of my liquids that were almost tasteless on the eGo-T are amazing at 6v. Like a random RY4 I bought 30ml with. I never used it with the ego because the flavor wasn't there. Now I'm getting the caramel/tobacco/vanilla goodness.

I've heard good things about the Resurrectors . . . might have to pick a few up at some point.

i definitely have found that different juices and different atty's and cart's(Lr,Sr& Hr) all react differently to different voltages... but 6v is about the highest i go, and its rare that 6v isnt a lil too much... i also believe that between 4.5v & 5.5v seems to be a pretty common sweet spot for the variety of juices ive vaped. But that definitely varies from juice to juice... some juices burn really easily and others it takes a lil more power to bring out the vapor and flavor. i dont necessarily beleive that 6v is pointless, i just think that alot of juices react the best at a slightly lower voltage. But as they say, "opinions are like A$@holes, everybody's got one" so if 6v is what cha like, then 6v it is!!

I use DC cartos on VV @ ~4.2v-5.5. Depending on your atty/carto resistance you can go higher voltage, buy why is my opinion. Liquids taste different with one atty/carto at different voltages. Finding your sweet spot is nice with different flavors and voltages. It lets you dial it in, so to speak.

As far as the harsh TH, try a shorter drag. Inhale slower.

Good luck! Enjoy!

You should get some of these batteries and charger: NiMH Batteries and Chargers . Lets you vape @4.8v. Bobas is great at the voltage using 3.0ohm cartos(best @4.5v imo).

I've never used my Silver Bullet at 6v, but seems too much unless you get some high resistance cartomizers.

Edit: just tried Bobas @6v and it's still pretty decent! It's just much more warmer.

Well you may get your desired less of a TH... I've actually never used a 2ohm at 6V (I use 2x AW lifepo4's which are 3.2V -- I highly recommend them). The lowest I've gone is 2.5. So the answer is no you don't need to use it, I just personally like the combo. 2.5 is good too (which is roughly standard resistance... maybe a touch higher)

It's worth a try to maybe get some Boge 3 ohms. Just give it a shot to see how you feel about it. You never know -- maybe you love it, maybe you prefer the lower ohm boge cartos. So many options with vaping, so it's quite a mission to find what works for you, but best of luck!

Excuse my noob-ness, but do I NEED to use a 3ohm atty/carto? Right now I'm just rocking the Boge 2ohm at 6v. What would the difference be if I used a 3ohm?

I would use a 3ohm because it changes the wattage, it will be a better vape at 6 volts because the 2ohm might give you a burn taste

Vaping at 6 to 7.4 volts just rocks. The heat and the vapor is amazing and every juice I have tried at that voltage is good. Some people say its just a wattage thing but using a 1.5ohm on a 3.7 is nothing like a 5ohm on a 7.4. It's totally different.

I think I'm going to stick with it for awhile. I'm sure I'll get used to the throat hit. I agree, the vapor is wicked and all the juiced I've tried at 6v have tasted amazing. Boba's Bounty tastes like a totally different juice though . . . its tastes like I'm swishing fresh honey around in my mouth. Its nuts!

Good posts, thanks for clearing that up for me. I think I have a few 3ohm cartos I could try out.

Hi Reveen,

I was wanting to try out 6v vaping as well with a Silver Bullet is my setup also. Was wondering what kind of batteries you used to get it working at 6v? I just bought some RCR123A from Battery Junction and they do not seem to be firing my Cartos. I use Mad Vapes Dual Coils... Can you not use Dual Coils with 6v? I was happy to get my batterires and really wanted to try it. Any Suggestions? Thanks.

I've been using Tenergy RCR123A batteries. For the carto I've just been rocking a Boge 2.0 SR cartomizer. Its crazy powerful! I'm getting more used to it but man does it deliver some powerful vapor!

I've actually never used a dual carto . . . I've probably only been vaping for about a month so there are still tons of things I need to try. Honestly, every combination I've tried has been taken from other peoples suggestions straight from the forum. Needless to say, without ECF, I would be LOST!

OK, So Ill just pick up some regular cartos see if that is the issue. Maybe it is the dual coils not firing, cause they work on 3.7, just not on 6v. Thanks. So I took my batteries to my future father in laws house cause he has a volt meter and it looks like they are fully charged so it cant be the batteries it has to be the cartos/battery combination... Can anyone recommend some good cartos to try with 6v I know Reveen says Boge works good, do they come in a 510 connection? Thanks again..

Yes they do come in a 510 connection. Try single coils. Some batteries and VV shut off on dual coils over 4.2 volts, it's a common problem
