Interesting jaybird.
What kind and brand of atomizers are you using ?
I use BE112's and the Runyan 801's.
Might give that a shot.

You'll find the BE112s will handle it quite a bit better, they've got thicker coils and can stand up to more abuse than the other brands. I've put my BE atomizers through some horrible stuff and they keep on tickin.

I use 4.4 volt 1.5 amp motorola razor charger for RN4081 atty and it works perfect.

I see no reason to add more thermal stress than required to get desired vapor.

Dry coil temp will increase with increasing voltage assuming max amperage is maintaned.
This can lead to premature coil burn out.

If you keep coil wet then coil temp can be somewhat regulated until liquid boils off.

If you are a hot rodder then to much voltage is just right; just don't expect to get 100,000 miles on it.

I wonder if your actually gettin a true 7 to 7.5 ....I have a variable voltage plug in mod that goes up to 6 and if you hold that button too long it lights up like a halogen bulb!!!
I guess thats also givin more amps, but it does burn up the juice...It is great for cleaning funky atomisers...
the meter says 7v, its a little much but i wanted to really beat up an atty to see how much it could take. i vape at the 3.6/4v normaly. ill go take a pic.

The only thing I've been able to deduce about atomizer life is that there's no one set of standards that you can apply. Type of juice, voltage, length of draw, vibration (I'm bad about slamming mine around).
I'm getting longer life out of mine now, using ~5 volts, than I was using ~3 1/2.
I'm resigned to the fact that the damn things are just expendable.

I just ordered a 5 pack from BestEcig-Newest Mini E-cigarette|E-cigarette|wholesale e-liquid for 30$ plus shipping. I always try to make the order large enough to justify the shipping, so I ordered some other stuff as well. I think they manufacture all the BE stuff.
I ordered on the 25th and tracking shows it's in the local area and should be delivered today.

Same here. Ordered on the 22nd. Received today. If you order the 5-pack and nothing else (which I never do), it works out to $9.50 each with shipping. Not bad, even at that.
