Gday

Just got off the phone with inlaws. Apparently on channel nine news tonight, there was a story about the Feds are now saying that if you import nicotine ejuice and get caught with it you will be fined $8000 per bottle. They said it is leathal to kids if they get hold of it and 10ml digested by a kid can kill them in 5 min... WTF....... This is the first real big negative ive heard about nic ejuice. We can import non nic ejiuce though no worries. Any one heard anymore on this crap.

Child proof caps and lock them away.... for pete's sake guns are enticing to children too that's why anyone with a lick of sense keeps their guns unloaded and locked away if they have kids. There always has to be a few idiots out there ruining things for people with sense.

It's kind of like neon under cars being banned in some states because people wreck while staring at the pretty lights....sheesh!

I hope it doesn't have anything to do with Australia and NZ being big exporters of Nic gum inhalers ect. I use to buy all mine from over there until I started vaping.:2cool:

I would suspect this has something to do with it! Any time I hear politicians fervently bleating about "Saving The Children by banning this or that product", it frequently means that someone's profits are being threatened. I always ask myself "who stands to gain financially by any particular piece of legislation" Follow the money and its easy to find out.

I must add that I'm all for keeping kids away from clear and present dangers such as pedophiles, hard drugs etc. But E-juice? C'mon, there is something that smells very much like lobbyists here! Parents do have to accept SOME responsibility fer cryin' out loud!

Oh dear, what has he world come to:

1/ Six out of ten - or more than 150 people a day - have accidentally stabbed themselves when trying to prise the top off a jar or opening a ready meal with a knife.

2/ Thirty-seven people were injured so seriously by the pot warmers (Tea Cosy) in 1999 that they were admitted to hospital.

3/ 5310 people in 2002 were injured by their trousers.

4/ Putting on socks, tights or stockings saw 11,788 people taken to hospital. Falls caused by getting stuck during an over-hasty attempt to get dressed were mainly responsible, with trips in messy bedrooms close behind.

The list goes on, people, generally, are idiots! Why should the politicians be any different.

Ban bleach, gasoline, ammonia, matches, oxygen(flammable), all metal objects(sharp and pointy), bees(lots of allergic reactions), sharks and cars while their at it. I know for a fact these all kill more children than e-juice.

You forgot to request a ban on books, free thought, music, art, any history not approved by the current government party, and anything that you can get for free that is being sold by a major corporation.

Open a jar with a knife? Who would think that. I'd like to see a vid someone doing that and stabbing themselves. I'd make em a freaking medal for stupidity.

Did they ban childrens medicine too that actually tastes like candy. I'm sure many more childre die from overdose of medicines than would ever die from nic juice. Exactly how many children have died so far?

A friend of mine had rush her son to the hospital because he ate too many chewable tylenol tablets. He thought they were tasty, and they're just in an ordinary box. Funny how those are okay, with no protection from children, yet e-liquid with nicotine is being banned. I wonder what sprung this up in the first place (aka who let a kid get NEAR a bottle of e-liquid... we really cannot afford these things to happen...)

Does that mean if a kid chews five cubes of nicorette gum at the same time, the government will fine the store that sold the gum? I think someone in your government is looking for a reason to justify their existence.
