Yeah, leave it to the politicians to say "No, you can't have e-juice because a child might kill him or herself. However, you can rest assured that we will never take your guns because no child has EVER hurt him or herself with one of those."
So I sent my mum some juice about 6 months ago now. Would customs be even more strict right now if I was to send some? I label it essential oils and don't label the nic content on the bottles.
That is a great summary of what I've learned, and I'll just add to that list that I also learned how incredibly naive I used to be.Vaping should really just be about having an alternative to smoking. But I think it has shown us all how corrupt those in power are, and at the same time how gullible the general public can be, finally how propaganda is injected into our news.
PLEASE FOLLOW THE LINKS AND VOICE YOUR PROTEST. EMAIL BOTH THE PREMIER OF QLD AND QLD HEALTH. With enough emails surely and hopefully they will look into this more closely instead of blindly. Tell them your succes story of quiting, and outrage at banning and enforcing fines on vapers , because one of their 2 big arguments is, their is no evidence to prove that electronic cigarettes help smokers quit and nicotine ejuice can kill children

I left Feedback, and I checked the "contact me" box. Here is the feedback I left:
I would like to respectfully voice my grievances with the ELiquid ban and subsequent up to $8000 penalty for being in possession of ELiquid.
1. It is true pure liquid Nicotine is a highly toxic poison. Eliquid on the other hand contains typically around 18-24mg volume of nicotine. Nicotine in these doses is not fatal per 10ml, however it would be careless to consume the product in a way it is not intended for use.
2. Most household cleaners are also fatal to children. Most insect repellents would almost certainly kill a child if induced. Yes these are products you can buy over the counter. The solution is education, and parents take full responsibility to keep dangerous substances out of reach of children. If Eliquid is considered a dangerous substance, how much more so is the average Mosquito or fly spray? Why do we not see these substances being banned?
3. If the Health Services are really concerned about the health of smokers, why not just ban all tobacco products? Why aren't more case studies being done to confirm that electronic cigarettes are a viable alternative to smoking? Why are the efforts of electronic cigarette users being sabotaged by illogical laws being passed that do not have the publics best interests at heart?
4. I am just one individual providing feedback, but I am shocked at how Queensland Health Service who should really be the good guys looking after the health of the general public, are yet to acknowledge the benefits of the electronic cigarette and rather than hinder the success of this viable smoking alternative, should really be standing behind it, and supporting these efforts.
Respectfully

Makes me sooo bloody mad. Just look at the smug so called health professional (short haired chick) in the 9 news report and her complete ignorance, ill-informed, hypocrytical opinion. If she is sooooo 'ITS FOR THE CHILDREN, GOTTA SAVE THE CHILDREN" opinion, then why the hell didnt she get on the news years ago campaigning for ALL house hold cleaners, i.e , domestos, ajax, amonia, bleach to be illegal and banned. ????? HMMMMM . cause i sure as hell know if a child gets hold of amonia and drinks that they could be dead well and trully before 5mins.
Ohhhhh thats right.... cause ejuice dont get them tax dollars to campaign against smoking tobacco WHICH i may add they get from the govt's tobacco taxes and she would be out of a job and nothing reall to campaign agaisnt.... Ohhhh wait,, there was that report on australian kids have the WORSTE TEETH in the world at the moment due to soft drink consumption.... why dont they ban that??? or control it??? 4 cans per family per week,...... BLOODY HYPOCRYTES....
Hmm...Pretty confusing. The doctor in the piece says that a 10ml bottle of "concentrated nicotine" could kill a child. Then the news reporter says that some carts contain 3 times that amount. I'm sure a 10ml bottle of concentrated pure nicotine could very well be very, very bad news for someone if they drank it. But they seem to be confusing "concentrated nicotine" with "e-liquid". Not sure what they're trying to say. Hopefully someone with better knowledge of e-liquids than I will step in here and try to figure this perlexing report out.
Have you ever read any of the reports of children ingesting cigarettes, nicorette gum or playing with the patches? Scary stuff! They can cause breathing problems, coma, convulsions, fainting, etc...
None of those even come with a child-proof cap... so, one could argue that nic juice is somewhat safer to leave laying around.
These bans are more about controlling people's behaviors than they are about safety.
