I have read on the forums that these batteries should theoretically last about 18 months. However, if you get eliquid in the hole at the terminal or somehow inadvertently short circuit the battery, it can kill it. Also, the auto on/off mechanism on the battery is a sensitive switch (I have heard it is a sound sensing switch, but they seem to be pressure sensitive to me; I have put a battery terminal to my mouth and sucked lightly with no sound and it lights up; I don't recommend anyone else do this as you might short your battery with saliva if not careful).
I have two auto 901DSE batteries I have been alternating between, using each several hours a day, for about six weeks. One is just starting to go out, not due to age or battery failure, but because the pressure switch is starting to fail and the battery is not heating the atomizer as much when I take a drag. I can still make it work properly by covering the hole for a half second when starting my draws, but I am guessing the switch will completely fail in the near future. The other battery is still going strong. So if you divide the time by two because there are two batteries, an auto 901 battery should last at least three weeks at a minimum based on my small amount of experience. I suspect manual batteries (they are available for the 901) would last longer because they don't have the inherent weakness of the pressure switch.
As a beginner, I know I'm making mistakes - overfilling my cart with eLiquid, putting in filler material that is too loose or too tight - and mistakes that cause the cart to leak excess eLiquid are a source whereby liquid could get into the battery. Also, blowing into the cart, perhaps accidently while exhaling, could cause problems with the pressure switch.
For more information, search for battery information on the forums with the search function.
Also you may want to try a manual USB 901 passthrough (it looks like a battery but has a cable that goes to a USB port and supplies power on demand without running down). I know heavens-gifts.com has them, and I've ordered successfully from them several times in the past. I'm sure many other suppliers make them available.
You noted you are not dripping, but I'd suggest examining the details of how you vape and try to problem solve what may be causing you to run through the batteries so quickly.
Further, I have read that with these batteries it is best not to fully discharge them each time, but to swap them out semi-randomly for charging before they are fully discharged. If you are running through them in a week or two, though, I doubt that would be a factor.
More detailed information on how they are failing would probably help more experienced vapers to suggest possible diagnoses for you.
