Well I've been using my dse901 for about a week now. The first few days were great, i was loving it. Now its just becoming a hassle, i switched back to analogs today.

I've been using marlboro flavored 24mg liquid, but its not stopping the urge for a cig. I used to smoke a pack a day (marlboro lights) Im not getting a throat hit either. It seems like it works wonderful for the first 5-10 puffs and then it barely works after that. One of my batteries completely dies within minutes of using and then it recharges in about 5 min which is weird. The other battery works good for the first 30-45 minutes of using, then it gets weak, and i get just a little vapor.

Im going to try a battery mod, with a 14500 and see how it goes. Just waiting on shipping.

Do you think my atomizer could also be junk?

Mesa, AZ...off the analogs for years!
I think you've got a couple of lousy batts.

It should not die within minutes of using it and then "recharge" in 5 minutes. Contact the vendor and see if they'll replace it.

I pretty much chain vape and I've found the length of time a new batt lasts varies considerably. I have some old ones that go one for 2.5 hours and a brand new one that only lasts an hour. I would return any new batt that didn't last at least an hour.

Hard to say about your atty since your batts don't seem to be working. But if you're getting good vape for the first few hits, it seems to be the batts IMHO.

901 batteries also are not said to be the most reliable out there; there is a reason that mods are so popular. (Although can't complain about 510 batteries when it comes to that.)
That first battery is however definitely defective, the 2nd one seems about average.

Also, with the 901, like with almost all out there, a cart mod is a great idea. I tried several, but the best compromise between cheap, easy to make and easy to refill is IMO the straw mod, with white Fluval to replace the filling as needed.

If you want to stick to the 901, consider getting a mod, or make one yourself, much cheaper. KR8 batteries also work out-of-the-box with 901 atties, and they are avialable with up to 380mAh, those last for a while. If you start looking for more throat hit and vapour, have a look at the eGo which is a 510 with a bigger battery and a neat cone.

The Leds on the batteries dont always tell the truth , keep the battery that charges in 5 min. hooked up for 1 hr ( check it to make sure it does NOT get HOT , if it does it is dead REMOVE IT ! )
The juice will get into the PCBoard and cause it to report that it is charged.
Try to keep the juice out of the battery , clean the conn. often and the atty conn.
This will help to prolong the battery life.

Most of these batteries require a 1-3 hr charge time
