So I have been reading similar threads on this subject, but I wanted to ask if you all could say which is right for me...

I only own 4 M401s. I do enjoy the 401 but my main complaint is the lack of flavor. The vapor I get is great, especially with my usb PT but I have tried several liquids from different suppliers and I just can't seem to get the flavor everyone seems to talk about. I even tried making my own, and that little experiment went downhill fast. Besides not being able to handle VG, and the fact that I could not get a 'recipe' right, I just don't have the time or patience to sit around mixing juices in the little free time I actually have...

With that being said, I have been looking into the 510 and the 901. I have read good and bad things about both. One thing I really like about the 510 is you can order a PCC, which I really want (not sure if there is one available for the 901). If not only for the fact that it is a place to hold my e-cig and not have a bunch of spare parts in my shirt pocket, the charging while I am out and about it very attractive. But I have also read that the 510 is more about vapor and less about flavor... Which ever I decide, I would also want to get another usb PT, because these things are awesome!

So I am wondering, which would be best for me? I have some RY4 here and I would really like to taste what everyone is talking about. Right now I just a "smell" of flavor on exhale, and this has been the case with all flavors I have tried, except mint, which I did taste but was kinda like inhaling a piece of gum, rather than smoking a menthol cigrette. I could have gotten the same effect by vaping some Marl with a mint in my mouth...

I trust you guys and would love to hear what you think I should get next...

I started with a 901 and got rid of it cause I kept killing batteries by flooding them. I went to a 510 and loved it. Got me off analogs. Last couple of weeks went back to the 901 with a PT and love it. There is a difference in the flavor of the juice with the 901. I have been using it most of the time now. The Kr808d pcc works for the 901 and there is a pcc coming out now that is made for the 901. New manual batteries are also out for the 901

i think the 901 manual batterys make me a 901 lover for life. you get the same vapor and hit as a 510 and cant flood battery, but still get the better flavor of the 901!! and as a side note not all juices are the same i am a true lover of juie from ecigsmokestore.com to me it has by far the most flavor

I've completely gotten off analogs with the 510. The manual battery awesome as long as you can use a hand every time you need a draw, and as for the PCC... I couldn't go without it. It is a necessity, and it's really freaking cool too. They have a springloaded top, so you just push the button and the top flies open and presents your fully charged battery and atomizer.

I don't have any history with the 901, so I can't say anything about it, but I'm very pleased with the 510.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate all the feedback! I do have to wonder why the tips would make any difference, but I have heard that echoed more than a few times on here.... I cant seem to understand the difference.

I do lean towards the 510 price wise. Seems to be more economical. Most places I have checked, the 901 only comes with 1 atty and auto batteries. Extra atty and manual batteries would bring up the price a bit. I guess at least with the 510 I automatically get 2 full manual e-cigs... and then maybe I could try some flat tips? I think that may be the best route for me...

I currently use a 901 and a 510. The 901 doesnt produce any more flavor than the 510.
If i had to choose i would say the 510 has better, and stronger flavor.

When it comes to vapor production, flavor, throat kick, and ease of use. The 510 is better than the 901.

I use the 901 automatic when im gaming and need both hands.

I started with a M402, have a 510 and just started a 901.

The 901 is my favorite hands down.

I've had a few atomizer failures with the 510 (the wick disintegrated) .... the 901 produces as much vapor if not more than the 510 without the hassle.

Never had a problem with the 901 auto battery cutting off. The 510 button can be finicky.

The 510 gets very hot. The 910 doesn't

The 510 floods too easy. The battery may be sealed, but it still oozes out the battery/atty end. LOTS of blowing out. I don't drip. Just carts.

The 901 has the smoothest damn draw. I love this thing.

In the long run, I think the 901 is cheaper. ecigsupply.com atomizers $6. Vaporoptions had the batteries for $7.50 when he had his inventory reduction. They're usually about $9. ecigsupply has reasonable shipping - just a couple dollars for small orders.

The 901 has good flavor. The 510 is ok in that regard, but I like the 901 better.

I will never order another kit to try out a new e-cig. I just buy a few atomizers, usb charger, battery and I'm good to go. I learned with my first e-cig not to stock up on parts until you give an e-cig a test run.

Just my opinion for what it's worth

I think they're both decent - the 510 has more hit but the batteries are a hassle. I actually alternate the 901 and the 510. The 901 has better taste and the batteries have much better life but the 510 can give you a good nic hit with fewer puffs.

Well, my batteries cost $2 not $9, they last about 7 hours on a charge, there is no shipping charge and my device gives better throat hit all the time, consistently puff after puff, than either the 901 or 510. And there are no hassles or finicky equipment - it just works.

And I forgot, I can use the 901 or 510 or the 801 atomizer.
