910/510 adapter question

I just received my devices and also the 910 and 510 adapters.

Am I incorrect in saying that when you put them together and put them in the top cap, that it will force the pin down far so that it is not flush in the device?

If you want it more flush look at the bottom of that post for a link to Ariel_MX's ggwiki page that shows how the post will look with almost every adapter combination.

Some adapter combinations use the re-threader which will naturally use a longer pin on the adapter side so less length on the battery side.

If you're referring to the firing pin, yes the adapters push it down past the bottom of the top cap. If you want to shorten it, at your own discretion, you could remove the center pin of the 510-901 connector, but make sure the firing pin is still isolated somehow and doesnt touch the sides of the adapter. Don't ask me why I know... But if you do this make sure you have a spare button spring and battery spring. Or some small paper clips handy until you can get replacement springs!
