Every morning after we sleep with the bedroom windows open I wake up with itchy eyes and stuffy sinuses. It sucks. Never had allergy issues when I was younger. It started a few years ago and gets worse every year. Blah. If the pollen maps are to be believed, it's some type of weed pollen that gets me.

It's weird. But at least it only affects the flavor of some juices for me. Like creams pretty much disappear, your Horchata is one that tastes totally different. Others are just fine.. Lemon Pound Cake and Peanut Butter Cup. *shrug*
yes over the past few years doctors have agreed that allergies are getting worse...people that never had issues are developing issues more and more each year and yes it's because each year the pollen count gets higher and higher....i've always had issues and anymore I'm so miserable.....i can't even go outside to play with my kids :( because not only am I allergic with sinus' i'm physically allergic to pollen (I break out in hives) I've always been allergic to grass and plants if i touch them but now it's so bad that I can't be outside for very long.....an on top of that I already have eczema....

My mother and sister have much worse pollen allergies than I do. My sister also has a dust mite allergy so she is miserable year-round. Yuck.

Sorry you have to deal with skin issues too. It's bad enough with the sinus and eye stuff. :(

Well it's my turn for a .... day. My beautiful girl has been having breathing problems. xrays show some f@cked up trachea that almost looks like a pair of scissors. Its several grand to get a camera down there to see if its a tumor or just a foreign body and I just don't have that. So now it's see if a combo of opiods and valium works to bring her anxiety down well enough to have less breathing attacks so she can pass on at home at some point in the probably near future. She's on oxygen now and being dosed a trial. Seriously had no idea this was going to be happening when I took her in for her weird breathing stuff. Have had her for 9 years. Generally good health with exception to severe hip displaysia.

I'm so very sad to read this. I hope the meds are able to calm her a bit. This is so very hard. I lost my two oldest last year to medical issues so I can relate. I hope you are able to bring her home. *hugs*

Peanut is home and sedated. Her breathing is still bad but she's keeping oxygen saturation to arelatively healthy level. I'm praying she makes it to Monday for the radiologist review of the xrays. If its a foreign body I may be able to find a way to pay for removal if kind vets lete make payments. If its a mass....well I'm going to have to have her euthanized unfortunately or a breathing attack will effectively choke her to death. Rough times.

The only thing I don't miss about not having pets any more is when they have serious health issues. Those are such terrible times. We've lost so many beloved pets over the years, and it was a heartache each time.

I'm so sorry to hear about Peanut, Dykey. 9 years is a long time. It makes it so hard when you hear that there are things you can MAYBE do to help her, but the costs are prohibitive. It makes it even harder when the costs are not prohibitive, but would cause some fairly major financial difficulties. I hope things take a turn for the better.

Had to go to the doggy ER LAST night. Had to make the tough choice. Got to hold her as we let her go.
I am so sorry to hear that Dykey. I had to do that about a year ago and it was absolutely horrible. I hope you can find something to do today to get your mind off of it to some degree.
