I dont know where to put this so I decided to put it here, please move if need be.

I have a juice that I like that tastes great on my Gripper but not on my Lavatube.

The Gripper runs at 3.7v so I got a 1.7Ω cartomizer to keep it around the 8 watts that I like.
1.7Ω @ 3.7v = 8.05294 watts, 2.17647 amps

On the LT using a 3.0Ω at 4.9v its right at the same wattage but the flavor tastes muted.
3.0Ω @ 4.9v = 8.00333 watts, 1.63333 amps

the only significant difference I can see there is the amps its drawing.

Both are XL Single Coil Smoktech cartomizers, the only difference is the 3.0 is designed for tanks

Is this normal?

Also, where did those values come from? Did you get them (and confirm them) with a multimeter under load (using a special connector)? So, like Vego said, it may not be doing what the theoretical math says it would do. Also, surface area of the coil comes into play between the two different Ω atties/cartos so adjustment may be needed.

Note that the LT has an amp limit (I don't remember what it was...2.0 or 2.5 or something), however you are within it so that's not it. You will hit that wall with DCC's tho if you use them.
