I still have the "Gatling gun" mod. It still works although I haven't used it in a long long time.
Funny I was at the shop yesterday buying a clearance mechmod. Somebody was buying a 134. He said he wanted it for the case. They must have given it to him for next to nothing.

I never cared for the REO (don't like the unregulated aspect) or the Provari (just didn't like it as it drained the battery even when not in use), but I never voiced it on the forum as I knew what would transpire.

But as there are LOTS better devices out there now, their fan groups are not so cocky now. :D

in 2011, my 1st was made by a co. called Green Smoke (I just checked and they're still around!) looked like a cig, tasted like ... and cost $150!!!...then the CE2's and few more iterations before I got to the glass tanks.
Honestly, I don't know how I hung in there with the early devices...the syringes, the gloves, the spills, leaks, blah!

The Provari was a gamechanger up until the Provari there was no reliable Variable Voltage APV with a 1 year American warranty. My main problem was that they didn't keep up with technology. I got into higher watt vaping and Sub Ohm vaping and Provari was way behind.

Maybe a Reonaut can verify my memory that while unprotected, the Reo had a physical failsafe built in where if it got too hot the button would melt and stop it in it's tracks. I ran across this because I had the buttons melt under Sub Ohm Use.

They have a neg hot spring that will drop if there's a short.
The buttons have been upgraded...no melting.
They are still open for business under new ownership.

Just coming up on my 9 year anniversary too. Started with Intellicig 401 Evo (still miss them), TW 510 Titan that I won somewhere (hated it & having voiced my displeasure, got a ton of crap both here & TW's own forum (which I was eventually banned from as a consequence)). When Intellicig ceased making black & silver 401s, I switched to Joyetech eRoll (still miss them).

FF to now & my collection of e-pipes, mechs & egos (handy for driving), no looking back.

I've seen a lot of changes in the vape industry since 2012 when I switched from smoking. I started with an eGo C kit and moved on from there.

Progressed through mech mods, early higher output regulated mods and now I'm into lower power vaping again, but with very good atties (for me) which were not available at the time.

I'm a firm believer that whatever works for you is the best deal you can get and that you should pursue that goal over all others. Vape on my friends :)

I remember when I didn't own any Kanthal wire thick enough to break a set of clippers.

I'm a recent provari fan. I wouldn't bash anyone for not liking them though...
I used to be a ProVari fan. I still have my blue 2.5 with blue led. There's nothing wrong with them, they're just useless for what I vape now. That being said, there was always a segment of people who hated on them. Called them over-hyped, as if they were like any other mod out there. They weren't. They were, at one time, far and away the best VV mod available. It's a shame they didn't advance their technology further, but it is what it is.

Does anyone remember the little diy mods that madvapes sold? They used 14500 batteries, were a white plastic box and had a little wheel you spun to get it up to 5 volts? I still have mine. I tried to upload a picture but I couldn't figure out how.

One of those was my 1st VV Device.

I got it as an Inexpensive way to make sure all the Hype that surrounded VV at the time was correct.

I think I used it for about 20 Minutes. And VV obsoleted everything I owed.

    LOL

BTW - Does anyone remember Ken's Box Mod Little Sister?
