So I'm a big fan of the new Fluxomizers, and my supply was running low. GotVapes has been sold out for quite a while, so I broke down and ordered some Genuine Microcig clearomizers from another vendor... They're the same thing, right? Right.
Here is my list of complaints:
1) The first one out of the pack leaked from the bottom, as the 'air-tube to base' seal was in freakin crooked. All this one did was gurgle, and flood me and my GLV in the last cartofull of my favorite juice from my favorite vendor, that is currently out of service. This was my 'special occasion' juice, and now it's in the carpet. And this particular cut-pile doesn't wick extremely well, so I'm outta luck.
2) The second one out of the pack had some kind of mysterious clear liquid around the cup seal (glue?) and the cup seal would not freakin come out. I actually broke the cup removing it, never done THAT before...
3) The third one out of the pack, I eventually got working. I made a new inner-seal removing tool, and got it out with a fair bit of pressure. However, after about two hours of use, there was a mysterious buildup of black shmutz (technical term) on the coil in one area, as if I had been vaping that one loop of coil for a month straight. I took it apart, and cleaned it, and saw that part of the coil had been sticking up, and melted part the donut seal. I had been vaping apple flavored rubber for about two hours. I threw up a little in the back of my mouth.
4) I'm on the forth Genuine Microcig clearomizer, and so far, it seems to be working ok. Not well, just ok. The taste is a little bit off, and I don't want to take another one apart today. I'm totally over it. I went back to vaping my nasty, dry burned, chalky cupped, raisin coiled Fluxomizers, because even though they are filthy and ready to toss, they still taste better.
So, I wrote to Bad to see what the F was up with my NOT-FLUXOS. He told me (not his exact words) that since he was one of the founding fathers of the CE2 as we know it, the owner of the company provides GotVapes with only pick of the litter clearomizers. The batches that GotVapes gets are tested, quality controlled, and always the most current iteration of the technology. Smaller vendors (like the .......s I bought these crappy ones from) order in small batches, and most likely get older versions, or cheaper runs that are not as thouroughly tested for awesomeness. I always wondered what made Fluxos different from other vendor's Microcig CE2s, and now I know. They aren't just rebranded cartos, they are the best of the best.
MORAL OF STORY: Don't get impatient and buy stuff from strangers. Trust your vendor, guys like the GotVapes crew will do you right. And they have great nipples.
