So I just called him AGAIN to get his address. I also updated him on some of the posts and he was almost speechless. I asked what kind of juice he wanted and he said "anything". He was a little paranoid that people would send him toxic juice. Has anything like that every happened here? Also, do people usually just post the address or pm it?

I am AMAZED at the generosity here. I mean I had read a couple posts like the guy who wanted to give away 10 units but I would not have imagined this. I checked out the friends of bill w. forum and it seemed pretty small. Alcoholics are notorious for loving coffee and smoking. I was thinking about setting up a simple website with basic info about e-cigs so I could refer people to it. I go to a lot of meetings so I could potentially get a lot of people interested. Anyone know of a good simple "I'm hesitant but curious about e-cigs and I would like some basic information" site?

Hey all,

I just started vaping a week ago to this day and it's been so incredible I can't even believe it! I'm a member of about 8-10 online forums for different things and this community is amazing and specifically the PIF forum has really touched my heart.

Last night I picked up my friend Seth to go to an AA (alcoholics anonymous) meeting. We are both recovering alcoholics/addicts and got sober about 10 months ago. It's been the single best decision I have made in my life. If anyone has any questions about recovery PM me PLEASE! I would love to help if I can.

Anyways, Seth has been trying to quit smoking for about 5 years and has never been able to do it. He's much older than I am and is starting to have some very negative health consequences from smoking. He also is a severe MS (multiple sclerosis) sufferer. He lives off disability and has very little money. Last night aa AA friend gave him a MUCH needed microwave and funny enough it's still in my trunk because we forgot about it when I dropped him off last night . I'm going to be bringing it to him later tonight.

Back to the point ;). I showed him my new e-cig and he ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. He was AMAZED, just like I was when I first tried it. I had a very tough time getting it back once I gave it to him LOL :p.

The reason I'm posting this thread is because I don't have the means to buy Seth a PV and he really doesn't have any option of getting one. He buys rolled cigarettes right now and can't afford a bulk payment for an e-cig. I feel kind of weird asking, but can anyone help him out in getting an e-cig? He has had a pretty tough life and he is an amazingly grateful person. He doesn't have much and this would mean the absolute world to him. I just bought a 510 and a KR808d-1 for my girlfriend and I. Both my girlfriend and I prefer the 510 so that's what were going to be sticking with. I'm going to return the 808 so I can buy cartomizers and a charger for her. I figure I could provide Seth with juice and cartomizers but I cant afford to buy him a battery and charger so it would really be helpful if I could get him a PV that would be compatible with 510 cartomizers.

Thanks everybody for any help you can provide. Bless you all and happy vaping! :)

Hey Guys,

Just ran across this post and would like to help out...
We have a ProVape-1, 510 or 901 that we would be willing to offer. The ProVape uses 14500 batteries, so if you get some batteries, charger, and cartos or atomizers from others we can all pitch in to complete a nice little kit for our friend. PM us and well make arrangements. :)

This is absolutely unbelievable! Once I get some cash I'm definitely going to get a provape. They do look awesome! You all can consider me a lifer to the PIF forum! It feels so damn good to help people. "Pay It Forward" is one of my favorite movies of all time. The whole AA program is built around service and I see a golden opportunity to enlighten other people in the program with e-smoke. I've been smiling for about the last hour! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!

So far I've had my sister, my mom, my best friend, 3 people from the meeting last night, and 2 people from work who are considering quiting analogs to starting vaping :) And my girlfriend has already made the switch. They all have money though so they don't need any donations but itt just amazes me how much of a difference e-cigs could make in this world! If anyone knows of a good simple informational site about e-cigs, that I could refer to friends, I could really use it!
