- the nice inside view of yours: is it true, that the "positive battery contact" is also referred as the "firing pin"?

Yes...it was originally called the firing pin, but that term sometimes confused people, so we started calling it the positive battery contact.

I don't know if gutter is the right word, in fact, I'm not sure there is a name for it. Perhaps Rob can drop us a line and make the call.

actually my intention was to complete the illustrated guide here in this little thread and then open up a new thread with a significant title.

i really think, for non-american-speaking like me, this illustrated guide is very helpfull.

I think that is a great idea. When it is complete, I'll add it to my index. We can make an Italian version too, as I know we have some Italians who would be happy to assist. Perhaps we can get some assistance from Scandinavian, French, Indian, Egyptian, Filipino, Japanese and other regions...we can make a thread with diagrams in the different languages to help many folks around the world.

I thought he was talking about the inside of the drip well, just outside the connector. In other words if you took the connector out, the part of the metal that is the inside edge of the hole.

coming back to this little celebration, because today i am analog free for 6 months
