I bought my volt cig a like pro kit a few weeks ago and still absolutely love it. I feel the batteries are top notch as most people have said. I have been analog free since then and am very happy. I since then bought a few of the mini clearos for my 808 batteries and love those even more than their great bottom coil cartos.

I turned my friend on to volt now, as he started with a knock off cig a like and later to an eGo battery with assorted tanks. He buys from local shop and kinda seem to be the best buy of e cigs. IE: more about selling product than giving knowledgeable advice. So with my up most respect for volt thus far, i gave him the link to smokelessimage.com. He ended up buying a t3 bottom coil clearo and got it today. Attached it to his eGo (both 510 threaded) and gets nothing. It looks as though the eGo post might be shorter than the x2 battery from volt so the clearo looks like it isn't reaching all the way to the eGo connection.

Now i feel awful for turning him to volt and spending money on something that "should" work and doesn't. Has anyone else had problems like this?

I thought LR was preferred for eGos and SR weren't. I stay around 2-2.4 on my eGos.

Anyways, sounds as if the pins aren't coming into contact with one another. Grab a small pin, knife or something and use it to pry the center post in the battery up just a hair. Its pushed in to far and not making contact. Should be fine after that. My Kanger T3 gives me this very issue on my 1300mAh eGo battery but non of my other batteries, ego included.

I've never gotten Smokeless Image gear to work with my other gear. I had to buy different heads to get them to work. SI gear is 808 threading, not 510. Look here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...led-some-t3-clearomizers-smokeless-image.html

Are you sure about the threading?

The one on the left is the t3 SI clearo. The one of the right is a generic 808 tank. The one on the left (the SI t3) to me looks like 510. But I am still a noob so maybe im talking nonsense.

Either way it is obvious that his eGo supports both 808 and 510 as he has been using 808 tanks. So it is a moot point. The problem surely seems to stem from the fact that the "post" is recessed farther in on the t3 so that it does not make a connection.

Great! I assumed my problem was a threading issue, but perhaps it wasn't. The actual 510 and 808 threads, as opposed to the ego cone threads, are definitely incompatible without an adapter though. Apparently the ego threading on the X2 is the same as the Ego. Thanks!

Yeah it looks like its just the cig a likes that are 808 with volt. The bigger stuff seems to be 510. But i guess the x2 sized batteries have a taller lead on them so the clearomizers compensate by having a deeper lead themselves.

Vapolith is correct. All of the Smokeless Image products are 808 threaded.

If I'm not mistaken, the 808 design is configured so that the battery has male threads and the delivery device has female threads. 510 threaded hardware is just the opposite.

Yeah i got to looking at his setup today, since i have never seen the t3 clearos in the flesh, it looks like the t3 clearos are just threaded for EGO and have niether 808 or 510 threading. So it was just a matter of pulling the lead down from the tank just a bit so it could get a connection on his EGO.

Most likely a smart design decision by SI to make them compatible for both as it looks like it would work with both 510 and 808. The lead has no threading at all. Just the cone eGo threads on the outside.

My friend has an ego battery and was using the standard clearomizers. He wanted to try my bottom coil t3 from SI and it would not screw on completely. Most of the SI stuff is 808 threading although the x2 bottom coils seem to have the bottom base like an ego clearo would have.

My ego CC kit came in today so I will try them tonite and see what happens. Most likely like you discovered you need to pull the post down to reach. But I'm keeping my SI spinner as a back up.

I believe you about volt being 808 threaded batteries. I was just clearifying that the t3 clearo itself is niether. It only has eGo threading on the cone. So it seems to be compatible with both 808 and 510 because of its design. I believe my friends eGo is a C.

The x2 has a taller post on the battery which is why the lead on the clearo is so high up. So simply pulling it down a bit seems to work. He has been vaping it hard since yesterday and says its stellar.
