Boge cartos suck for an 808d! Grrr... They get too much play on ECF (because they're good for other batteries I guess) :(... I'm still mad I guess at the $30 dollars I wasted at LF buying them! Their own website says they should sit overnight-- because their filling is like a box of rocks! Get Bloog horizontal cartos for the 808d and you will be happy! I can fill them and be vaping in 5 min... As for reuse: I filled one at least 6 times last week and then chain dripped on it at a party for like 4 hours... I refilled the same one today like 4 times and it's like new...

Good luck with your HaloCigs. I think you'll like them. You probably don't want to be spending more money on your Joye 510 system unless you find it more convenient for dripping (assuming you have manual batteries).

I didn't get my kit yet because the USPS is stupid, lol. Halo sent my order out right away...postal service hasn't tracked my package for over 48 hours and listed the 22nd as delivery date. All I can say is that mail man better bring it to me tomorrow, lol.

I'm positive that I'm going to like the Halo G6. My first purchase was one of those cheap Nicotek Metro kit and I did fine on that, which is a pretty low rent e-cig. I liked the carts better...just not paying so much for them. I don't mind re-filling...but I don't want so much leakage, mess and hassle. Absolutely love the smaller size and have gotten accustomed to holding them just like an analog comfortably. I'll keep the 510 as a back up just as I have my Metro kit. I really don't want to do the drip thing or get big bulky e cigs or batteries. My goal is to eventually quit everything, so going more hardcore vaping is kinda in conflict with my needs and goals, and besides...the little models completely kill my desire for analogs, so I don't need to go bigger...just easier and cleaner, lol.

Well, the bigger cigs will save you some time wasted charging batteries. :)

But whatever works for you. You could also look at a KR808D-1 PCC for your cigs if you don't want to be running for the nearest outlet all of the time.

Yeah, I'm going to be eventually getting a PCC and USB passthru as well as 1-2 extra batteries to keep charged. The extra effort for charging doesn't bother me...I'm just hating atomizers.

You should check out Halo's cartos...they come with a little plastic container that holds 5 of the KR808D1 cartos. I saw a review of the blank ones where a guy had re-used one at least 7 times with absolutely no burnt taste. They have an angled soft tip that prevents leaking too. They've got some interesting flavors of juice too. I can't wait to try out the Malibu Menthol coming with my kit today. It's a pina colada blended with a light menthol flavor and sounds absolutely delish! :) I only ordered my stuff from Halo at around 7pm on the 19th and it's being delivered today according to tracking. That's not even 3 full days...so fast! :)

Most everyone here at ECF knows of Halo...a top notch company... The G6 is a new product to Halo and there followers alike. From my experience with Halo......(My favs are Torque, Freedom, and Smooth 8) the G6 will be right there with the two top 808's, and you will be another happy Halo customer !!

I would still get some cartos for your 510. Then you can compare the two, see which one you like best. There is really no comparison using cart/atty vs cartos to me. Even if it's not your #1, it's never bad to have a backup in case your other charger dies or your out of cartos for it.

I'd get a box of cartos and an adaptor. That way you can use the cartos from your 510 and KR808 on either one.

Oddball here ...the 510 3-piece is a lot of maintenance, but I'm still on it. It took me a month (and mega frustrations) to get into a routine but all is well now. I actually started with a KR808D-1 but am getting a $3 adapter to use the 808 batts with 510 attys! Yes, I'm weird.

You're probably getting a burnt taste due to residuals on attys (ash & junk, yuck) and burning the cart fillers 'cause they ran dry. I clean my 4 attys everyday (dry burning is best for me) and as soon as the flavor drops, I switch carts or refill. I even tilt the 510 cart end up to feed the juice. The weakest link is the batt, going eGo next, save tiny batts for outings.

The only reason I stick with it is to avoid the $1.50-$2 per carto cost. I've blown $600 & counting in 3 months. Between the hardware, juice & cartos (5 refills?), I'd be pushing analog type costs. My goal was to spend less than analogs. If money's no object, I'd just vape pre-filled cartos and throw them out. Disposables are great but cost more. That's all.

Hope you find happiness!

Juice has a lot to do with it. I use nhalers clear PG juice and I'm not exaggerating when I say I've had cartos last for two weeks. Usually a week. My pg/vg juices less. My mom vapes bwb tobacco juice and definitely less than mine.

I did a little experiment, and it might be my imagination because I've never read about it here, but I think cartos last longer if you rotate cartos and not keep topping off the same carto. Maybe adding juice when the carto is hot? Again, this might or might not be true but it seems like they last longer this way.

How are the Halo cartos when compared to the Volt cartos? They pretty much look the exact same to me.

I'm not sure of the difference between them. My G6 tracking finally shows movement...my package is "out for delivery" so hopefully I will be getting it any minute. Since I will have three different beginner kits I am planning on writing a comparison between the three to help newbies to vaping know the differences between the three. I'd add other kits but I honestly can't afford to buy more, lol.

OMG...my G6 if finally here...just opened it an put on a Malibu Menthol cartomizer and this thing is freaking amazing! The Malibu Menthol smells so good before you even put the cartomizer on!!! I will say this much so far...the quality of the G6 is SO MUCH higher than the 510 I have. Oh...and the refillable cartomizers...the soft tip fits snugly but comes off easily...I'm going to like that. So far I LOVE this thing! :)

One more important thing to mention...the instruction manual for this kit is awesome for someone just starting out. The instructions include how to refill the cartomizers, how to tell when you need to change cartomizers, how to properly charge the batteries (including the all important first charge). I haven't seen instructions this thorough in the other two kits I got. I love the round tin the kit comes in and the little plastic box to hold 5 cartomizers. This kit is super sexy...love, love, love it so far!

You're right! Some juices I save for "last" just before atty cleaning. I know it's a goner once that sweet or thick juice gets in. But, not all VG is the same, no problem with Dekang VG, not as thick? Sweet PG clogs too, that ethyl malto (sp) thing? Plus, PG that's too "watery" doesn't stay in the cart. :)

I heard 100 refill cartos, urban legend? Have to see to believe. Most vendors seem to say 5. But even if you get a week out of cartos, attys can last for months with proper maintenance, 5-8 bucks per atty, 2 per carto. Hmm.

Congrats, Shannon65!

Thanks JustAGuy! I sincerely LOVE this Halo G6. I only wish I had of found this kit first because I would have saved a lot of money, lol. All of my research paid off...I do believe this is the perfect fit for what I was looking for! Will be adding a PCC and passthru and probably an automatic battery to add to my kit when I can afford it. I can't say enough how happy I am with this kit! I feel like it's Christmas, lol.

That really depends on the vendor. My PG isn't watery at all. In fact, nhalers high voltage PG is too thick for my cartos.

According to the vendors, I think the Go-Go and Echo can be cleaned and refilled 100x.

I'm not currently using cartos...I'm switching to them because I don't like the 510 tank cartridges with atomizer set up. It's constantly leaking juice no matter how careful I am and I spend more time messing with the tank and atomizer than I do vaping, so I'm switching to cartos and will be using the condom method, most likely.

I've done condom and syringe and at least for me the syringe method can't be beat - it's not nearly as messy.

I don't have a syringe to use at this point...it's either condom or drop it in after removing the soft tip. I have to say that these cartomizers by Halo are VERY easy to drop juice into. The mouthpieces are soft and easy to work with...and tapered to avoid leaking.
