These avenues have been explored, and will always remain available. However, it is worth noting that ECITA (EU) Ltd has been able to make considerable progress without the need for recourse to extraordinarily expensive and long-winded court actions. We hope and believe that the same will be possible for the Canadian industry.

Governments all around the world ARE paying attention, and providing we (the whole vaping community, industry and consumers) can get the right messages to the policy-makers, good things can and will happen.

Live long and vape! ;)

Cheers

Well, apparently, for starters, there is a Cdn. documentary being made which I would assume covers all aspects of vaping. Speaking on behalf of vapers and all the issues at hand. I'm really looking forward to seeing a movie about us. Documentaries rarely have the power to change legislation, but maybe... it's still worth having a voice.

Even small things - like I have a doctors appt. soon, and I'm going to mention that if the electronic cigarette discussion ever arises amongst doctors, I highly recommend they consider vaping as a healthy alternative to smoking, pharmaceutical drugs and nicotine replacement therapies.

Customs via HC is putting a damper on imports, even including benign ejuice flavour ingredients. A tactic meant to discourage. They can discourage but not completely stop at this point. "We'll make it hard on you". Ya know.

I just wouldn't be able to let this go. It's too close to home. It means too much to me. I don't smoke anymore. That's worth more to me... ok so I couldn't do it without a crutch but it beats all of the legitimate crutches out there. Please don't take vaping away from me... Wow this thread is going off in other directions...

I'll do my best to bring back this thread on topic. About the user-friendly/marketing side of the discussion, shockabsorber said this on page 5 and I disagree:

That being said, there is one thing that I think is a great little feature that would make the public feel slightly more at ease, and that is to make it necessary to create an account before you can view a vendors e-juice. Although I know that it is not difficult to do so, creating an account can be a obstacle to minors curious about vaping. I think that people outside the community would feel reassured knowing that we are doing our best to avoid allowing youth to have access to an adult product. Protecting the innocent is always an important safety issue, maybe the most important.

I don't know about you guys, but I find it a little turn off to be in front of a website that won't let me check out their product offer unless I register first. Most kids under 18 don't have a credit card anyway, and just like in convenience stores ("depanneurs" for us Quebecers) they will always find a way to get the 18+ stuff anyway. Of course I believe that it is important to have a security system to protect our children from ordering nicotine online - and I would even warn grown up adults about the dangers of playing with liquid nicotine, but the idea of making the customer register first is not, in my opinion, the right solution to the problem at hand.

I do not have an alternative idea to propose, though. Anyone has?

HC is working on it and you won't have to worry about registering on-line.

There I am, quoting myself :p

My opinion is that "If you don't like what you see" in the Canadian E-liquid business, try to change things for the better!

Look at this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/canada-forum/286158-i-see-what-you-did-there-jugheads.html#post5774655

I don't want to suggest that my thread was responsible for the amelioration on the Jugheads' site, but it might just have pushed them a little in the right direction :)

I hope all Canadian Vendors will do the same and update their websites! Go Canada (and go Canucks!)

Change happens when you actually request it instead of settling for crap :D

I just posted this thread over in the New Members section of the ECF:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/286582-newbie-refilling-tricks-let-me-introduce-renspin.html#post5786712

I think the tricks I posted might help a few noobs out there, but I fear that someone will come out and burst my bubble! Did you guys ever heard about using a carto condom to do the Taryn-Spin? If only it could be real - that I would be the sole inventor -and that sharing this trick would be my gift to the human race!

That's funny, I just recently started using my girlfriend's hairdryer to dry out my stardusts after I give them a rinse, (which I do when I change flavours). Works great!

Yeah! I align my cartos on my stove top (its the only surface I could find in my apartment that won't melt!) and I shoot some hot hair inside them. I heat them for about a minute, then let them cool down for 5 mins, and do it again 2 or 3 times. Then they are ready to be refilled.

Hey all.

I want to give an update on all that happened since I started this thread two weeks ago.

Just after creating this thread, I emailed most Canadian E-juice vendors and asked them to take part in the discussion. For discretionary reasons, they couldn't chime in... but still they all answered my questions by email, and I see that most of them have already taken actions to make our shopping experiences more friendly.

Since my experience with them has been amazing because of the time they took to answer my questions, to react to our demands and sometimes to be kind enough to share knowledge (and e-juice samples lol) with me, well I think they deserve a big thank you list:

Very super special thanks to:

Sara @ buyeliquid
Primo @ nicfitnation

Very special thanks to:
Kat @ Electro vapors team
Sean @ Flavourcrafters
Matt @ ecigarettescanada
Cindy @ Rainbowvapor
Lae @ vaporgeek

Special thanks to:
Tom,
Paul @ mymts
Howie @ canadavapes
Seb @ cevstore
Rob @ evapers
Song @ vaporus
Everyone @ 3puffs
Chris @ eculturestore
Everyone @ jugheads

Now, there are some other vendors out there that I must have forgotten. I am so sorry if you think your name should be on that list - it probably deserves to be there! Thank you all for your reaction to "The April 2012 Newbie Mass-Email Campaign" and continue your great work!

May the vape be with you,

-Ren
