Didn't have a single cig since I started... But I'm starting to come to the point where I get fed up with e-cigs.

My biggest grief is that for some reason the vapor tastes bad. 12/mg is too light, and 18/24 tastes foul to me. Tried around 10 different juices on three different devices (smokeless image with CE3 and re-fillable cartomizers, ego-ce4, joyetech eroll). Same result in all. I can hardly vape anymore after a short while, because my mouth feels like it's filled with nicotine.

Anyone else experienced something similar?

But with all different devices? Cartomizers, CE3, clearomizers and joyetech eroll tank... Drives me a bit crazy :) How unlucky / incompetent can I be?

With the eroll and CE3, I'm fairly certain that it's small drops of condensation mixing in the juice. But with the clearomizer and cartomizers, I'm not sure what's going on.

Hi - sorry to hear that you're having problems. After being a smoker it can take awhile for your senses of taste and smell to heal. In the meantime, you can go through a lot of changes; juices that taste good one day might be awful the next and vice-versa. It's not an uncommon occurrence. I vaped for 2-3 months before I could taste anything but strong mint and menthol.

Perhaps this might help a little: Taste Buds and Vapers Tongue

I'm also 6 weeks in without smoking. Yay! While I am still dealing with the learning curve and have put down some serious cash so far... I'm pretty sure I'm heading in the right direction as far as kit/technology goes- a variable voltage Reos Mod with a rebuildable atomizer. I'm not screwing around with the juice that much. Been using the same brand and flavor since week 2. I've come to like the 24/mg strength better than the 18/mg but that's my personal preference. Still trying to figure out the 'zen' aspect of getting the perfect hit. Flexibility (voltage/atomizer resistance/juice amount) is key. I can tell I'm getting close.

Not saying this is it but it was a problem I had when I first started. We were used to pulling of a real cigarette and you don't need even close to that draw on a e cig. I found altering my draw really enhanced vaping. I started taking lighter and longer draws and holding in my mouth more than the full lung hit. Hope that helps...stick with it and let your taste buds heal!

What he said. The technique you use to draw in is different for an e-cig. Finding not only a decent or bearable flavor/nic combination, but you must also find a flavor/nic combination that you CRAVE because it's so good, and you will, but it may take some serious effort on your part. Of course the quality of the equipment you have is also very important to your eventual success. Good Luck! You CAN Do It!

Virgin Vapor has great ejuice. I like their Organic Kona Velvet Milkshake. It's very good!

I use the CE3 and it's wonderful, but sometimes I suck up a little ejuice. I have no idea why since I'm very careful about filling/refilling it properly. It tastes awful with that happens and it's frustrating. After reading this thread, I tried putting a tiny bit of cotton from a Q-tip (thinned out) under the drip tip. Totally solved the problem!
