Well Lisa, some things do take getting used to, like wheat grass and rejuvelac (water poured off from fermented wheat). And I'm definitely pretty finicky, so I have to do a major attitude adjustment for a lot of things. I drink kombucha tea, but I don't ferment it myself. There are some things that are just so much trouble I would rather buy it from Whole Foods, LOL, like mushrooms - what a major task. I sprout my own sprouts and will give wheatgrass a shot, since those are so minor.

Sea, you are a talented woman! I just brew lipton's tea and put my mint crushed in it. The rest of my food is from the grocery. I do walk a lot so for me that's as proactive as it gets!

I meant to mention tha Shiva dance hasn't been on line for a long time. Maybe Angus would concider making you mod or at least co mod of the veggie vapers. to keep the group on ECF.

Seabrook, my sister-in-law makes kombucha. I remember the first time I saw it, I was rummaging around on a shelf in her closet looking for an umbrella and came upon some large glass jars (something like bug pickle jars) with cloth covering them. I lifted up the cloth and thought "what the $##!@^%????". It looked like pickled brains......... as if she were some mad scientist or something!

Lisa..we are all mad scientist's! You should have seen my desk when I was diy ing

Ha ha, Mary Kay, not so much talent; it's gadgets I own to get stuff done fast. Thanks, but I'll pass on moderating the Veggie Vapers thread, it's just too comatose right now, and I have my eye on some classes I want to attend in May, but I will still post to it. It may come alive yet with ppl emerging from the winter doldrum.

I am making this for Easter! I have the peeps already..need the choclate. It looks like fun!

That looks to cute to eat!!!

Unfortunately for me, I have really bad acid-reflux and indigestion at night. Maybe it's all those "improper combinations" LOL!!!
I'm gonna try this. Thanks, Sea! I always enjoy reading your "healthy posts"...and I usually learn something along the way :) And you're so much nicer than those 2 mean girls that wrote "Skinny B--ch" :laugh: I tried reading that book (great concept, but those girls were mean to me!)

:laugh::laugh:

No, it makes you a realistic mom. What time allows for and what your kids will eat.

My son is a bit odd in many ways and food was definitely one of them. We LIVED on pepperoni pizza for 3 months....he wouldn't eat anything else. And if I ordered a seperate pizza with other stuff on it...it would contaminate the pepperoni pizza (in his eyes....)

I still can live without pepperoni pizza!

The moral of the story: It won't kill them. Don't sweat it. And definitely don't care what others think about it! :D
