I haven't received my kit or supplies yet, but it's making it's way here, slowly but surely (I hope).

As I read up on vaping I became very excited, because I am absolutely sick of analogs. I hate the coughing, the shortness of breath, THE PRICE, and getting antsy and nervous when I'm almost out the having to drive 8 miles (bfe) to get more. So, I thought to myself, this is absolutely awesome, save tons of money, no more driving on winter roads and, hell, I just might live a little longer.

Not one time have I even thought to myself this is a step to the "kicking the habit." What I mean is, that it has never crossed my mind that this was a process whereby I would stop smoking the analogs and then evenually stop vaping. I'm in it for the long haul, that's my mindset.

I was just curious about other people's motivations and whether this was a step to kicking habit of smoking and then the oral fixation to eventually be completely habit free? And how other people feel now that they've begun vaping?

Well I really enjoy smoking so this is a great alternative for me. I switched to ecigs in june and have not had a analog cig since. It was a little hard at 1st not to run and buy some but after a week it became pretty easy. Just make sure you have plenty of juice and parts in-case something goes out so you are not tempted to run and buy a pack

I kinda splurged, but then I thought to myself, I'd spend well over what I bought in a month on analog cigs. A Joye 510 Mega kit, extra battery, 5 extra atty's, passthrough, car charger, 2 x 40ml of juice, extra carts, tons of flavor, 30ml of juice, 50 ml of juice, USB wall adapter, 2 x 10ml juice and some other odds and ends. I wanted to be sure I had enough, I hope that is.

Should last a week at least. LOL

I started with the intention to cut down and save some money, because I believed quitting was impossible for me.

The more I read, the more hopeful I got. And by the time my kit got here, I was optimistic that I could quit.

And I did. I haven't smoked (except one lonely cigarette) for 2 months.

I am beginning to taper down my nicotine VERY slowly. Started at 18mg. Now I'm down to 16mg as my highest, and sometimes vape as low as 12mg.

My plan is to eventually (maybe a long time down the road) quit vaping. But with a catch.

I will always have vaping stuff around. Because if I'm in a rough spot, and I'm about to break, I'd rather pick up my e-cig than buy a pack of cigarettes.

I suspect I may always vape occasionally. But my goal is to stop needing it every day, all the time. I will take my sweet time getting there - I'm off the cigarettes, and that's what really counts.

i started athread about vaping goals while ago and it seems that everyone is different but there seems to be trends...
1.person vapes and smokes less cigs
2.person thought they were still going to smoke but ended up sticking to vaping
3.person wanted to quit and did...now they want to cut down nicotine to low or nothing but vape forvever (me :))
4.person just wanted to get off cigs and hasno desire to lower nicotine

I started vaping with the intention of supplementing my smoking habit. I figured it would be a good substitute in situations where it was inconvenient to find a smoking area and get my fix. The more I vaped, the less I liked smoking, so then I decided to drop the analogs. That took a while but now I'm on day 18 smoke-free and every day gets easier.

I don't know whether or not I'll ever decide to stop vaping. Right now, I can't imagine life without TV Banana Nut Bread. LOL!

I thought vaping would be a second choice when I had the urge to smoke, iow, vaping to supplement the 40 analogs I smoked daily. Long story short, I had my last analog 34 days ago and in that time I've faced a crisis or two (car stolen, physical injury). Since I was so stressed my family thought I might have a setback but, lo and behold, I didn't slip back to smoking analogs once.
I still take this vaping a day at a time and so far, it's better than good. :) My goal is to be nicotine free but at the present time I only vape low nic juice and feel %100 better than I did smoking analogs.

My goal was to get off the analogs and though I've only started vaping today, I'm done with analogs. Unless every battery and atty dies before I can get more back-ups (I have 2 of each but that's not enough for my comfort) I'm not going back to analogs. Vaping is FANTASTIC. Tastes great, no stink, cheaper etc..
Eventually I'd like to go to zero nic but I'm not fussed about quitting vaping. Except for my Diet Coke addiction, I don't have any other bad habits.
My thought is that life is short and I should have a few pleasures.

I was sick of the COST of cigs and thought I'd try this to supplement my smoking habit. Didn't let myself think I wanted to quit....BUT....I found that after the first day of vaping, I was "accidentally" quitting. lol. Now it's been two months (tomorrow!!) and I'm OFF cigs altogether. They smell and taste nasty to me now. I'm slowly (very slowly) getting my nic level down and may someday be at 0 nic. I'm not sure I EVER want to stop vaping...I believe that at 0 nic it will be a fun and relatively harmless hobby. Lovin' it soooo much.
