Got with the program just a few weeks ago, quitting Marlboros the day my VKs arrived. Killer products, service, and forummy heartfelt thanks to those of you here whove helped me get started in this life-changing entertainment.
Ive spent a fortune trying everything latelydefinitely a fun rideand just want to mention a few of my preferences that may help others new to the V4L experience. Your own prefs may vary, of course.
NICOTINE LEVELS
I vaped only 11mg cartos (PG) for the first two weeks and got completely used to them. I received some 18mg cartos in my last order and did come comparison. What a difference to me! The 18mg Cowboys I tried have a chemical-ish taste that I dont notice in the 11mg. Is it the taste of nic? I dont know, but I did try several cartos in a blind test to be sure and realized that, at least for the Cowboy flavor, the 11mg version tastes far superior to my buds. I havent compared any other flavors in this way, but I suspect there may be a similar pattern, more or less. Advice to first-timers: if you can do without high nic levels, you may enjoy the taste more. As a former ML smoker for many years, 11mg works for me, and the taste is very clean.
MANUAL VS. AUTO batteries
I originally thought that auto batts would be simpler, more like a cig, so I ordered some. And I had no complaints until I tried some XL manuals. Wow, what a difference. That manual control allows me to produce the heavier amounts of vape and hit that I preferwithout any heavy puffing. I know the autos have a good place in many folks lives, but Ive retired mine to their little black case for back-up purposes only. Meanwhile, my cast of manual batteries is growingfour and counting. Advice to first-timers: try requesting one of each when ordering your kit. The auto and manual models do offer somewhat different experiences.
FLAVOR SAMPLERS
Many good people here have pointed out that they came to V4L originally for tobacco flavors, and I was the same. I just want to emphasize a good tip that folks taught me: that most of the best flavors here are coffees, mints, fruits rather than tobaccos, which must be hard to reproduce. I still vape some tobac each day (Parliament, Cowboy, Virginia), but for me many of the non-tobac flavors are the real flavor gems. Advice to first-timers: try some sampler boxes that allow you to compare flavors. Try each carto, without looking at the flavor, and see which ones make you smiledont let the sometimes-misleading names fool you.
PG VS. VG CARTOS
I've tried dozens of PG flavors and just a couple of the VGs, which I found hard to vape due to the very different base taste. If I had an allergy to PG, I'd certainly adapt to the VG and not look back. Otherwise, it's PG all the way in my view.
CARRYING CASE
I was having trouble finding a case to fit my XL batts, but I just learned that V4L has one coming out soon. Stay tuned.
OK, enough from me in my first new-thread post. Go easy on me old-timers--I know Im still a grasshopper here. Just wanted to help a few others like so many people helped me.
