Basically the best place to get these are V4L, correct?

A few questions if you don't mind:

Are all the cartos different colors? In a sense that's kind of nice ... but I prefer a streamlined unit. Do they have blank cartos and if so what color do they come in? (I could check the site but I wondered what those who use the product think of it as well)

Also ... the batteries. Which are preferable? Auto or manual? I know most vapers seems to go for manual, but I was wondering if there was something special about these auto batteries that I may have missed. They seem to offer just as many autos as manuals.

Are they a good travelling kit?

Thanks for your help.

I am still pretty new at this but you can get KR808 batteries and cartomizers from a lot of different places.

The newest and best are had from Bloog and Nhaler from what I have read. All are compatible but these have been revised and really do work better. (IMO)

Check the suppliers forum and you will find a lot of info, otherwise I'm sure someone much more knowledgeable will be by to help out.

check the current sales at goodprophets.com. They've got an 808 1 battery PCC kit for 29.99...pretty good deal. I have a couple of v4L batteries, a passthru, and lots of cartomizers. I'm,still trying to decide if I like 808's better than 510-- so far they both seem to have a place in the arsenal. The blank carto's from v4l come in lots of different colors --but i like them both. You might find more info over at the v4L (vapor 4 life) subforum.

The Kr808 auto batteries are the only good ones I've ever used. They had a vaccum switch, which means they won't go off in your pocket or from wind and noise (maybe if you stuck them out the window of your car doing 70, but that's about it).

The ones I had were just generic Kanger batteries. I got them ElectroNicStix, 8 or 9 months ago. And they all still work (a friend of mine owns them now).

But, I have heard that there are Kr808 auto batteries being changed to a noise switch now. And those... are no fun at all. They go off at the drop of the hat and I find getting a consistent drag out of them nearly impossible.

So if you want Kr808 auto batteries, ask the supplier what type of auto switch they have before you buy.

I still prefer manual batteries for the control, but the Kr808 auto's are worth using... as long as they have the vaccum switch.

I have only heard bad things about the auto batteries...but they are all I've ever used. I like them, never had any problems. But then again I've never tried manual batteries, so I don't know the difference. As of right now I have no interest in pushing a button every time I want to vape. Maybe I'll try it one day.

The manual kr808s at litecigusa.net are awesome! I now prefer to use manuals due to direct dripping, however the autos are nice for kicking back with a cartomizer. I normally buy XL batteries because they hold more power.

I have a Diamond from V4L and it's a real nice batt. It's rumored that V4L will be coming out with a Diamond manual batt within a couple months

I also really like the cartos (both WOW and CoolCart) from V4L.

You may want to checkout the Bloog MaxxFusion. A little more expensive, but a real nice kr808

KR808D-1 Batteries They have really good prices on blank cartomizers. Also good prices on their batteries. I love my XL Mega it is 380mAh. Cut off switch on the auto batts can be a drawback. I like more than a 5 sec draw. I can work it out though by doing a 4 sec puff then as soon as the light goes out I do another draw for 8 sec. Works good for me. Even though I have a REO, I still use my 808's at times.

Trips1103 I'm a heavy user of V4L. What I can tell you is I prefer their King Diamond batts to bloog's maxxfusion (I know I'm going to get flak for this, don't care). As for their cartos, yes they do all come in different colors, but it's based on the flavor (i.e. Nuport wow are black, smilin cool carts are a mint green). Their blanks come in multiple color options, you can get them all in one color or in an assortment.

The reason most prefer manuals to autos is that if you refill, and accidently over fill, the excess juice kills the autos. It jams up the switch. They are currently awaiting more King Diamond batts, which are their best autos, but their manuals are great.

As for travel, I've had no issues. Haven't taken them on a plane though.... Hope this helps.

I"ve had great luck with V4L. Been buying all sorts of stuff from them for almost 2yrs now. I've only had good luck(knock on wood) with their batts. Both manual and auto. I own at least a dozen, in various sizes. My fav is the XL. I"ve never had an auto die on me, but the same is not true for manual. Of the many batts I've owned, the ones that actually died just happened to be manual. Prolly just coincidence, but I thought it worth mentioning. So, lifespan is long, CS is great, the super large travel cse is really nice (holds 4 any size batts and 8 cartos)and price is competative.

Thanks for your help.

The KR808D-1 vendors I've dealt with color-code their pre-filled carts to the flavor that you are putting into them. V4L's blanks come in packs of five different colors. I've yet to order a set since the price there is about the same as prefilled carts (8.99 for 5 I think) so I just get the prefilled ones, vape them out, and clean them for re-filling with whatever juice I want.

That may work better for you if you want to keep everything streamlined. Personally I do it because I have three flavors of juice I tend to revolve between and like having the cart color-coded so I can take a look in my box and grab what I want on the go.

As far as batteries go, manual's better in my opinion for those of us that fill our own carts or use drip tips. I actually prefer an automatic--the manual's taking a little getting used to--but since I've ruined two automatics from overfilling, I'm just as happy to push a button to get my fix. If you're good about not overfilling and prefer an automatic, then no biggie. Vape what makes you comfortable, no?

Hey All,

Over the last year I've used batts (auto and manual) from V4L and CigEasy. For consistency of quality ... I have to give the nod to CigEasy. Here's the review that hooked me in the first place:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cigeasy/63874-cig-easy-only-place-you-need-go.html

Lately I've gone on to CigEasy's other two-piece system, The Go-Go, and am waiting for them to restock so I can get another Go-Go kit.

But there's always a need sometimes during the day for a good KR808 automatic for hands-free vaping. Like when it's my turn to do the dishes.

I have been using the variety sampler V4L colored cartomizers. They get really hot and there is better quality out there at lower prices. Vapor Nine turbo cartomizers are excellent, they do come empty also. I just tried the jumbo 808 cartomizers from Nhaler, 2 out of 3 were duds which is what lead me to have to switch from an auto 808 to manual. After flooding with the jumbo cartomizers I started experiencing some technical difficulties so I ordered the elegant easy fat batt from CigEasy, it's manual and the best part is that I odered it on Saturday around 3am and today is Monday and tracking says it's in my city! It came from San Diego and I am in Ohio! I think Nhaler has some good blank cartomizers, I have read they are better quality than the turbo cartomizers from vapor nine, but the jumbos just aren't for me, I wasted a lot of juice and auto batteries with those.
