A question about Nicotine Strength and Wattages

cigalikes (I didn't call them that at the time) drove me crazy. You'd get slammed for the first few hits, it was okay for a few more, then you'd have lighter hits so you'd just be chasing them and vaping like your life depended on it.

And then you'd get a burned taste right to the lung.

You'd screw a new one in and find out there was nothing there and you could open up that circle top with the tine of a fork and see that inside it was dry, so you just wasted $$.

They stayed charged for like two hours, LOL.

I thought they were GREAT at first b/c OMG. I was smoking but not smoking. But eventually they were agony, I'd be happy like one screw-top fake filter thingie in five or six. I wasted soooooo much money and was only satisfied a small part of the time.

I did eventually give those up and then soon enough better vape devices were on the market so I tried again and the difference was unbelievable.

Forget the power. How many ml of what strength liquid are you vaping a day. That's your ballpark figure (i.e 10ml x 3MG = 30MG, 5ml x 18MG = 90MG of nicotine). That's the easy part.

Now you need to work out how much nicotine your body is actually absorbing. Unfortunately no-one actually knows that answer....
Now you need to calculate a percentage if inhaling a higher volume of vapour increases the nicotine absorption over a lower volume of vapor. Unfortunately no-one knows that answer....
Now you need to determine what percentage of vapour you exhale in relation to the initial input to determine what has remained in your body. Unfortunately no-one knows what that is....
Now you need to determine if the flavourings in the liquid alter any of the above parameters. Unfortunately no-one knows that.....

Hmmm, i see a theme happening here.

Bottom line - Listen to your body and enjoy.

Back in the day when I first tried to give up smoking the oft quoted mantra was "It's not the nicotine that kills you, it's the smoke!" Some medicos in the UK involved in smoking cessation still say that nicotine per se is no worse for your system than caffiene.

Before I found a vaping device that actually worked for me, a couple of years earlier I had tried cigalikes - I found them weak and wonky and that many of the replacement "filters" you screwed on to them died after the first couple of drags and so I went back to smoking.

Then I found some decent kit and joined ECF. That kit was state of the art then ( 7 years ago) - a low voltage rig running 16 strength liquid, and I can truthfully say I have never hungered after tobacco since then. I'm still using it.

I'd say stop worrying about the figures - if what you have works for you then run with it and enjoy life. If what you are using gives you nic sick, the shakes or the sweats that's when you are overdoing things
