I am sure it's just me but I don't care much for the E2 type cartos. They are a pain in the .... to fill and they fight gravity to work. Having the coil nearer to the mouthpiece makes for a warmer vape yes. But it is dependent on wicking which is hard to depend on in a mass produced item like cartos.

It's just my tastes but I prefer bottom coil cartos. It uses the same principle of letting gravity pull the juice to it more like a true atomiser. If I have a choice between the same item in a 510 or 901 I usually prefer the 901. I am not smart enough on the physics of it to explain it but the 901 seem to have better flavor and more moist vapor. The 510 seems to have beter throat hit but is drier.

Of course none of that applies in a system that is of a custom design like the UFS I don't think. I do know that in my short time of use of the AVSv2 and based on long time users like Hopefull and Ripple and others that the 901/808 seem to work best in the AVS. I wish I knew why but I am not that smart I guess.

Pain, thats an exellent diagram!! Thanks a lot for this. I was wondering about the internal parts of them. I mean how long the atomizer is from bottom to top of the silicon rubber (the silicon that sits on the ceramic). I thought that there were 2 sizes of internal parts. Even if those atomizers in the picture have different external lengths maybe the internal parts still comes in only 2 different lenghts? For example those tanks like map or jonah's use a specific kind of atomizers? Now that I said jonah, maybe he is the most appropriate person to answer.

Jonah?

You are ubsolutely right Major. Thats why I tried to make a semi bottom atomizer. Iatty is like this. But I have something different in my mind that I would like to test, thats why I ask what is going on the market:)

Not sure if this is gonna help or not but I have some standard size Ce2s and some mega Ce2s and I used a tube cutter to take them apart and the ceramic that comes inside were the same size in both. Is that what you were trying to find out?

The ones I have are number 8 and number 15 in the diagram that pain posted, everything looks the same inside except the wick is longer to accommodate for the longer tube, at least thats how it seemed to me.

edit: The Ce2s have not worked well for me, I do not like them at all but I hang onto them for the wick and ceramic inside.

The CE2 is connector, metal tube (allows air in, ends at the ceramic cup), the cup, coil (inside the cup) and wick. Difference between normal and XL is just that metal tube and wick (longer in the XL), everything else is the same size. Don't have the exact sizes on hand, I have some XL around that I could cut open and measure, but no regulars to compare to... If just the length of the XL helps let me know and I'll get it for you.

As for threads, everything I've ever had has been 510, but I also started out with the eGo so always looked for upgrades that allowed me to reuse as much as possible.
