I personally think this is anticlimactic. I mean its the same lavatube just stainless steel. I don't really get all the hype. Whats the big advantage its heavier, stronger and shinier?

Pretty much chrome and stainless look the same but the stainless won't wear off and if scratched/marked it can be polished out..with chrome it is thin plating and to fix a scratch you would have to re-plate it..basically chrome plating is stainless steel just a thing coating..depending on the quality of either materials one could look nicer than the other.

But usually chrome is a bit more shiny because they can use a higher quality to plate it..just like you can plate something in gold rather inexpensive as compared to solid gold..I would say stainless is more preferable though. I doubt it's any stronger than chrome..maybe stronger than aluminum but aluminum being lighter may or may not survive a fall better because it's lighter..less weight=lighter impact but there is more variables so I don't know which device would do better..if you dropped both tubes and they were the same thickness without anything inside the aluminum would most likely handle it better.
