A realistic view amid the panic

Where is this discouragement? did you read my post? It is realistic to believe that nicotine is the only regulation that will be followed through on completely. Therefore it will be what most need to stock up on. Tell me which basic rebuilding supply is going to disappear. You think welding wire and cosmetics cotton are gonna dry up cause the FDA doesn't want you to vape? Get real bud, and stop buying into the panic and hysteria. Think logically and you won't spend a fortune on things you will be able to get forever. That is all I said, how you got "I'm all set and screw the rest of you" out of that is beyond me.

I am thinking logically. Back in the 30s they poisoned ethanol with methanol, Namptha, or paint thinner to keep people from having access to cheap booze.

In the state of Washington it was ILLEGAL to buy Everclear that i used to clean my accupuncture needles. You had to take your medical license ot naturpath license to the luquor store before they would order Everclear for you.

What if they make it illegal to buy wire or poisons it the way they did ethanol.

A little Investment of $25-30 takes that issue off the table..

The FDA has absolute authority over ecigs. They don't need science or any justification to make any rule they want. Congress let that happen. It was a blunder they will regret. The value of a stockpile could be compromised with a compounding rule. The FDA could say mixing anything with nicotine for vaping without their express permission is a violation of the law, including for personal use.

My favorite thing about Donald Trump is everybody in government loathes him. If I have to be miserable I want company.

Wow, people, let's get back to the realistic part, it does seem that in the future, there will be some form of e-cig out there. They are not banning all of them, so, we will have vaping in the future. It will be underpowered batteries and not more then 2ml in each cigalike, BUT, it will be there. As, I am never going back to smoking, if that is all that is available, I will buy the cigalike. OR, chew nicotine gum, or both.
That being said, I have about a 5 year supply of nic and parts.

The problem is.

Lets say Mountain Gal makes 3 juices in 8 different strengths (0,3,6,12,18,24,30, and 36 mg/ml)

The way the FDA is going now you would have to obtain approval for every flavor, and every strength of nicotine.

That could Cost Mountain Gal up to $24 million or more if everything is aporoved the first time.

Telling people to prepare just in case is being realistic.

What do you think will happen with ba vape shop that makes 100+ flavors in 8 strengths then you are looking at almost $1 billion. They will close their shop. They wont have a choice.

Greetings! We just started vaping about a month ago and found it a great hobby and relaxing. We are sort of in the panic mode too, Looking to stock up on supplies , Prices will probably be going up the closer we get to Aug. We hope not.. But just incase we are buying extras. I am hoping the FDA will stop the bill but we all know that is a dream.

Great post. I've been thinking the same thing. People really are overreacting. It's not the end of the world. Life will go on. And vaping will go on in one form or another.

I agree with a lot of overreaction going on. We only know the initial intentions of the FDA and whatever is going to happen is two years away. Things will change somewhat I'm sure, but to the extent that vaping will become a thing of the past? I don't believe so.

With vaping now a multi-billion dollar industry, government can't ignore the tax revenues to be garnered. It's all about the Benjamin's!

You are right that it is a minimal investment to cover wick and wire for life. Where I can't follow you is them making wire illegal to sell unless you are a licensed welder, or not being able to buy KO-Gen-Do unless I'm a licensed cosmetologist. I mean people are talking about stocking up on O-rings and screws.....really, screws are gonna be banned? "Excuse me sir, do you have a license to possess that cotton?" C'mon man.

Please...Don't take this post as making light of the situation, it's solely to remind us to take a step back from the hype and frustration, asses the situation as it really is, then act accordingly.

I say if People want to Stock Up on Screws or O-Rings for their Attys or their Favorite Brand of Cotton, let them.

Not so much that these Item will not be Available in 83 days, but it Might give some Retailers a Chance to Unload some of their Inventory. Because some of these Retailers aren't going to make it thru the Fire.

Gotta say, retailers mu$t just love folks buying multi year supplies of their inventory. FDA has done them a favour really, 4-5 or more years of bu$ine$$ in a few short months.
Wouldn't surprise me one bit if supplier shills are fanning the flames. There are ulterior motives on all sides imho.

what I see coming is a influx of new hobbyists becoming involved in electronics...

any aspiring electronic hobbyist needs a water cooled low voltage hi wattage resistor tester
and the best way to keep those hot little resistors cool is to have a wicking method to apply water to the wire wound resistor...
and of course you dont want that wick to go dry while testing, therefore a supply tank to hold the water is needed...
but sometimes water soaked wicks just arent enuf... you need airflow to keep things cool with those higher powered resistors happy...
and they need a power source to test those hand made resistors...
and imagine the convienence of having an adjustable power supply to power up that multi LED flashlight with the 510 connection thread to enhance the lighting while installing those wire wound resistors into those tiny holes on the tester...



theres always a way...

Seriously, if you feel like you need to stock up on things and you can afford to, do it. If you feel like there is no reason to stock up on some things, don't do it.

The point I am trying to make, let people live the way they want. Hell, if everything magically goes in our favor, just think of all the things you can do to help someone that is now turning to vaping, with all the things we have stocked up.

It seems like I read in the Deeming regulations that 0 nic e liquids were still going to be considered a tobacco product. I'll have to go back and re read that part. Just saying that 0nic may not be safe from the powers that be. I DIY and I am stocked up on all I need. I urge others to stock up at whatever level they are comfortable at. Even if it doesn't get that bad, you will still use your extra stock eventually.

and this is Assinine Politics! 0,3,6,9,12,18,24 will always be the same......Therefor it should be an FDA Approved Standardized table, Not a Separate approval process.

I still think the FDA will put a massive chokehold on eLiquid ... what good are the millions and millions of devices available if there's nothing to vape?

not everybody can continue on with just WalMart VG.

IMO, the days of new juice brands coming out every day will end after August 2016
