I think it is cool that the Poll is #1 in the list of top stories.

I poked around in that section of WebMD and found this. Nicotine Patches, Gums, and Quit-Smoking Drugs

I ask you, is it ethical for that section to be sponsored by Pfizer? (See the box to the right of the story's headline)

Not only that, the article makes unverified health claims like "Even when used for long periods of time, nicotine replacement therapies are far safer than smoking" and recommends untested and unapproved cessation techniques including dual use and using more than the recommended dosage. Drugs are good and consumer products are bad, mmkay?

Thank you for posting this Volcalek. I've posted before in the smoking cessation section of WebMD trying to help those who came to WebMD in desperation trying to quit without success with the "no-help" NRT products. I also voted and hope others on ECF will take the time to at least vote and provide a comment if possible. Up until this point, WebMD has just been parroting the FDA line on vaping. I hope they start to change their tune.

Allegations as a pharmaceutical shill.
WebMD - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is not an unbiased company or website. Nevertheless it is the second most popular website for medical advise and with 50 million monthly views a place where we might have an impact.

This doesn't surprise me which I suspected at least a year ago.
