Getting the attention of Jonathan Foulds is a very good thing. He is active in the Society for Research on Nicotine and tobacco (SRNT). That organization is a gathering place for the movers and shakers in the tobacco control world. It includes such folks as Murray Laugesen, Brad Rodu, and Tom Eissenberg, plus some folks not so friendly to our viewpoint such as most of the members of the FDA's tobacco Advisory Committee and Jack Henningfield, author of WHO's unfavorable attitude toward e-cigarettes. The more we can capture the attention of SRNT members, the more difficult it is going to be for the antis to continue to promote their disinformation.

I'm very disappointed that there are only 76 comments. :(

WebMD gets so much traffic, I really thought the ECF community would jump at the opportunity to get our voices heard in this very public forum.

"electronic cigarette study": Smoking Cessation Community - Support Group

I think more people would comment if they knew about this. We don't have a good way to communicate with the members of this forum. We are just hoping some people will see this thread by chance and take a look.

Meanwhile this is an interesting article:
PR Fire | Business >> Intellicig celebrates first anniversary at UMIC
Nothing to comments just something I didn't know about.

I agree. IMO the "comments needed" sub-forum in General E-Smoking Discussion should be one of the most active spots on the forum, but there are only 20 threads!

I should rephrase that. Getting the positive attention of Jonathan Foulds is a very good thing. He was totally negative a year ago, but he is starting to come around. Let's not poke sticks at the tiger.

Agreed.

I also want to point out that the more replies we post the more interest there is going to be in E cigarette. Meaning more articles on this site and others. That is one of the main reasons to keep on posting to these site. I believe there are many people who don't post because they don't feel they have anything to add. My feeling is that people can always post their own stories even if they don't have anything new to add. Numbers do make a difference and they are noticed by the people who run these sites. That's what it is all about for them. More eyeballs means more advertising revenue. Leading to more articles.

Vocalek, I completely agree. It takes very little to turn someone's opinion around to the other side. And if someone associates an issue with an individual they perceive in a negative way, their opinion on the issue will also change to the negative. That is the way of humans, no altering it. So it would be very, very wise to avoid negtivity (and definitely anything that might be seen as an attack) with outsiders and that is 1,000,000 to the power of 100 true with powerful outsiders! The old saying about cutting off your nose to spite your face seems to apply.
